Football season ticket sales must be really bad.

I have been buying 8-10 season tickets since 1991. I waited until 3:00 PM on the day of the season ticket renewal deadline to renew just to see if anyone would call me. They never did, so obviously the lack of sales are not a concern in the Athletic Department.

It's getting really bad. To make matters even worse, my coworker had his maroon truck broken into. I assume it was because he has a State front license plate and State decals all over the back window.

They busted his window and left 4 season tickets in his truck.

They just knew they could count on you.

Baseball really needs for all of you to step and renew your football tickets*****
I hate to give the Athletic Department ideas to suck more money out of our pockets but buying football season tickets should be a requirement to be able to purchase chairback baseball season tickets. I think Kentucky has requirement for basketball tickets.

Football season tickets should also be a requirement to get a outfield rig.

Sales in premium areas are good.

Sales in the bleachers are terrible. It will be another season of the east side (tv viewing side) being visitors colors.

I already do, so it wouldn't be an issue for me and I could support this. I wonder what that number currently looks like without the mandate?

Fielding a competitive team should be a requirement to add the donation to season tickets…..anything less than .500 they should waive it the following season.

Or, and just hear me out, put a product out there people want to spend money to experience.

Well it was Mullen that said showing up was the first step....guess it's the old chicken egg discussion..
If Bulldogs in seats is the first step, like I said lower the cost until the attendance facilitates a better on-field product. That said, when Mullen started I would say that was more relevant than it is today. If you could get paid $1 million for a season to play in front of 35k or $150,000 to play in front of 90,000 which would you take?

The university made a commitment to putting a competent coach in charge of the program and put a product on the field that was showing clear signs of improvement. We, the fans, showed up and supported. Then the university tried to squeeze every penny they could out of the fans and made the experience less enjoyable in the process, but we tolerated it because we were winning. Combine that with the perfect storm of bad coaching luck and no improvement in the gameday experience, and here we are. I did my part, the university leadership didn’t hold up their end.

I heard someone say, it may have been on here, that the parents of all scholarship players of the minor sports just have to purchase season football tickets.

This should be shouted from the rooftops. I doubt if our brain dead administration gets it, though. They act if they have never done anything wrong.

Why not sell the upper decks to any Mississippi high school kid for $10/ Game? Would our admin rather they be empty? Or would they rather opposing fans buy them?

Been a season ticket holder since 93, received at least 4 emails and 3/4 calls, I didn’t renew, getting to expensive and only a subpar Program. I can pick the games I want to see, buy a couple tickets and be way ahead financially.

I think Jackie Sherrill first had this idea.he used it and it worked. And he also introduced the family plan, which put Miss state families in good seats right beside the faculty section, which paid off by both, squeezing the no show faculty seats to the upper deck, and it brought in new “lifer” fans. The man was literally 30 years ahead of his time.

They use to give upper level tickets to high schools. Not sure if they still do this. I remember that's how we got the Oregon tickets.

this is exactly what they should do to pack the stadium and build the fanbase, but that’s not what will happen.
