Lost 4-1 last night. Jacksonville State run ruled them in early April at Auburn. Probably not a team anybody wants to see as a 2 in their regional, but going back to the CWS formatting discussion part of what makes the current setup fun to watch.

If they hadn't blown so many games they might be another version of that 2014 Louisiana-Lafayette team that crushed everybody then choked to Ole Miss. They dropped 2 1-run games to Alabama and then also lost to UAB and Samford, then a few more weird losses to like Liberty and Cincinnati. Remind me a lot of Georgia, on a smaller scale, big wins but strange losses.

If they were 45-7 right now instead of 41-11 they'd be hosting.

I watched some of that game (AU VS Jacksonville). Au appeared tired and the view into their dugout appeared uninterested.

Jacksonville appeared legit. If they play like they did last night they are going to wreck somebody’s regional imo.

Don’t mid majors save their best guys for conference weekends?
I have heard that and it could very well be true, but I would think they would save their best for conference play. They play us for RPI and SOS boost. We play them to get W's and pad our pitching and batting stats.

It is more of a matter of focus. One team wanting it and another be uninterested.
