I worked with a Canadian broad who had these shipped in from the north. They actually do taste pretty good.
The best is what I call the "Canadian oreo" though - it's a maple-flavored cookie with maple sugar stuffing in the shape of a maple leaf. Amazing.

Aldi freaks me out. I go in there, get confused, grab one dumb thing then leave.
It's my most Boomer-like character flaw and I hate it.
Somehow my kid alwasy is getting good dips, chips, meat, etc. and I always leave with like, weird off brand paper towels.
That sounds like a "marinade" my 9 year old would make for her chicken nuggets.

I used to always avoid it because of the whole quarter for a cart thing, until I met my no pics wife. Then I went with her a few times, realized everything isn't as weird as I thought it was, and now we try to go there as much as possible over Hy Vee.

I'll tell ya right now, there will be an end cap that has all kinds of summer grilling seasonings/rubs. I think they're all like 3.50. Buy them all. They'll look like this. There's more flavors than what's in the pic. They're all so damn good.
yeah I tend to pocket them and forget to return them to the car. But also people often leave a cart out at the one I go to or offer a cart and refuse the quarter
I have a big jar next to my back door that I put all spare change in. Last time I took it in to bank after a year or so, I had $150! Made for a nice dispensary trip that month.
It's not like I am Phil of the Future and know when life will take me to an Aldi's.
Can't explain the initial procrastination, but then at some point the page count was too intimidating to dive into.
Luckily we're only at page 8 now.
