What makes you defend Trump? He’s a deeply dishonest and destructive person. This is someone who was found to have misused money from a veterans’ charity, has repeatedly surrounded himself with people accused of horrific crimes, and continues to dodge accountability at every turn. At best, he’s protected predators. At worst, he’s one himself.
He launched reckless economic policies with no coherent endgame, helping ignite global instability and driving up costs for ordinary Americans. Are you enjoying higher prices at the pump? Paying significantly more for everyday goods because of tariffs? Watching health insurance costs continue to climb while corporations rake in record profits?
And beyond the economics, look at the culture he’s created. Fear, division, outrage, and constant scapegoating. He’s normalized cruelty and pushed Americans to see each other as enemies instead of neighbors. His administration empowered aggressive enforcement tactics that many people view as authoritarian and abusive.
Trump governs through chaos, grievance, and self-interest. He doesn’t unite the country, strengthen institutions, or lead with integrity. He fuels anger because anger keeps his base loyal while he enriches himself and those around him.
In my view, he’s the most corrupt and damaging president of the modern era, and it’s hard to find another presidency that comes close in terms of the division, instability, and erosion of public trust he’s caused.
