Boozer (or Wilson if he's gone) at 3, trade 16 and whatever else to move up and take a guard.

Boozer.
And then a center to split time with Edey. May could trade the second round pick to move up a few spots from 16 for Mara or the Washington center.

Boozer. Man did the Pacers blow it. Just had to be in top 4 and they were likely the favorites to win the east next year. Instead, they hand the pick to the Clippers. Tough break.

Yeah, this sure seems like a “don’t overthink it” position to be in, but we’ve also got a GM that loves overthinking things and finding ways to put his signature on any transaction. My biggest fear is Kleiman moving our picks around for future draft considerations, only to load the roster up with more guys that won’t win you games in the postseason.

I’d be happy with either Boozer or Wilson at #3, and then finding a dynamic guard somewhere around 16.

If you're the Jazz or Grizz, and Milwaukee dangles Giannis out there do you even think about it?

You aren't getting a big time free agent to come to either of those cities. But Giannis has a lot shorter shelf life. You probably have a meeting but ultimately say no. But you have to think about it I'd guess.

Jazz I say no. They have a pretty freaking good core. They had to make up ways to tank last year because of it. They need to ride rookie contracts and see what happens.

the grizzlies? It’s going to take a lot more than the number 3 pick to get giannis. I think they would have to sell their future to get him, and I’m not sure even that would be enough. And then what? You have Giannis and the grizzlies likely minus several players from this year? Nope

plus I just don’t trust him injury wise. I’m a Celtics fan and there is all sorts of chatter about trading Jaylen brown for him. I don’t like it. Feels like one of those trades where you get super excited until halfway through the season and he has season ending knee surgery.

You could have a scenario where they actually trade with each other. Dybansta played high school and college ball in Utah, and the owner of the Jazz is a BYU grad. They could offer the 2nd pick and a young player (like Ace Bailey) to the Wizards for that top spot.

I'm just not feeling great about Boozer being there at 3 the more I think about it. Either way, this is probably going to be a really interesting draft night overall.

Interesting notes from Mike Wallace on Vernon today:

Washington has been on Dybansta for 3 years already, so it doesn't seem likely they would be willing to move off of picking him.

Utah really likes Peterson and thinks he fits perfectly with their young core, although he does think they'll at least try to explore options for trading up due to the aforementioned Dybansta connections.

The talk he heard at the lottery suggests Boozer's camp would prefer to see him land in Chicago. If the Grizzlies are fine with taking Wilson, they might have some nice leverage to trade back to 4. Keep in mind, Chicago also has the 15th pick, if you're looking for an extra asset.
