I also have a sun sugar cherry tomato. A hybrid from the sungold. Not as prolific but still good flavor (not as good as sungold) but no cracking.

You know what is actually underrated? Take 20-30 cherry tomatoes. Get a pan real hot.
Put some olive oil in it. Blister the ever living shid out of those cherries. Get them starting to break down. Add some garlic and fresh basil and a little boiling pasta water and you got yourself a 10 minute homemade sauce.

This is how I do it but no tomatoes or olive oil.
