No inside information here but it has always been a possibility of BK going full time football. I think Mocco is here next year and with 5 for 5 he should go.

Plus you need more than 2 guys on the roster - just look at last year BK, Marty, Fleishman all had injuries at the same time

Especially if certain rostered guys are grandfathered into roster limit of 30

I’m curious, why are we going after a heavyweight with Mocco coming in and Ben having 2 years of eligibility left?

Anything we should be concerned about? Or just more depth added ?
Isn’t Calkins going heavyweight? He had a great senior year at 215.

I hope that Mr Griffin knows he has to be a 3x AA in a lower division before he can come to IC and steal Hawkeye NIL, by transferring after a few matches. And if he transfesr to Little Rock, he'll have to make 197#

Isn't the proposed rule 19 years old or HS graduation whichever comes first, which means grey shirts aren't feasible.
One year grace period for prep schools

so you would have to be 17/18, but if you go to a “prep school” your clock won’t start.

but you can’t just take a year off.

And if five or five is not a thing and Iowa didn’t go get a back up heavyweight

everybody would damning Brands.

Does it really hurt to have an extra heavyweight in the room?

= 1 part hypothetical + 2 parts hyperbole + 1 part rhetorical question = a trifecta post of

Ok, maybe not a 'douchie' post, but it probably could benefit from some improvements.

Appreciate the update @Squatch96! I am curious, who is the number 1 for 132 then? Moses Mendoza? And what about 165? Melvin?

I agree, Willie does a great job. One of the best at scouting talent at the Middle School/High School level. Love the podcast and great work he does.
