I take creatine pretty much every day, just 5 mg because I’m an out of shape middle aged man, but it makes me piss like a racehorse. Anything over 15 or 20mg a day is pointless and for his age 5 or 10 mg would’ve been fine, no clue why the hell he would take more than that.

This is scientifically false. I take 15 grams per day with heavy running/lifting activity and it actually helps recover the muscles. I have zero cramping issues.

Creatine causes major dehydration in most people of you don't seriously commit to hydration and electrolytes.

If this story is legit, but if, everyone involved should be fired. Im talking agents, handlers, trainers, coaches. Everyone. A mishandling of this level is just inconceivable. Any halfway competent team or agent would know exactly what was causing this and stop it.

That's why I really think it surely cant be true.

That’s actually not true. It’s a misconception with creatine. The more it’s been studied, it’s proven it actually builds water retention. Creatine reduces risks of cramping and dehydration. That’s why Peterson and his camp is FOS or just stupid.

Misconception? You think i just made it up? It happened to me. It happens to many people. It isn't some conspiracy theory. Its a well known side effect in a good number of people.

Now....did it happen to him? If it did and they didn't immediately end his dosage they are all egregiously incompetent.

It’s scientifically proven creatine helps with cramps and water retention. If you got cramps it wasn’t from creatine. Do research.

So both of you depend on an ai result as fact? That's why the two responses are worded exactly the same. Geez, you all really don't understand ai huh.

You do realize if i create a blog that says bbi is the smartest best looking poster on this board, that's literally the result ai would give you if you asked it who was smartest and best looking poster. All its doing is pulling from a blog.

So you can either trust a random blog or trust directions from any of the manufacturers and literally every athlete that ever took creatine. Creatine absolutely requires an intentional focus on hydration and electrolytes are usually included in the hydration plan.

So either he took this in secret or he has fools around him. Or both.

No. I cited the Mayo Clinic and will get a bunch of other sources. You have anecdotal evidence. I’ve been lifting using supps for decades and creatine does not cause dehydration unless you have some other medical issue. Correlation does not equal causation, but sorry about your cramps that one time lol

I don't have anecdotal evidence. Creatine products warn people about hydrating to avoid dehydration. It isnt just me.

Notice in all my posts, I said dehydration happens in some people. It just does. If an elite athlete is struggling this much with dehydration, creatine should've been the first thing they looked at. Its incredible to think it wasn't.

Or maybe they too just did a Google search?

From the national library of medicine:

In summary, experimental and clinical research does not validate the notion that creatine supplementation causes dehydration and muscle cramping.

From the Cleveland clinic:

  • Boost water content in muscle cells. Better cell hydration may increase muscle growth and reduce dehydration and muscle cramps.
You should probably just admit you were
mistaken.

Creatine was heavily used in the late 90's. Peptides are where it's at today.

Brother in Christ. It pulled studies from NCAA athletes to determine that conclusion. Or just go watch MoreplatesMoreDates on YouTube. Dude can break down anything when it comes to working out. He even says creatine has zero risks involved.

I like his content but he also pushes products.

Creatine is a great supplement. It causes some people dehydration issues. If you want to believe that never happens, ok you are entitled to your opinion.

Creatine does not cause dehydration issues. It’s a myth that has been proven false. There is enough evidence now that has disproven this myth. We need to move on. Darryn Peterson is not telling the truth and it’s obvious. He is trying to avoid the questions why he wasn’t playing and this is a distraction from the real reason.

I knew a guy years ago that got severely dehydrated from creatine. He got put in the hospital over it from what I remember.
