@fskillet hey buddy, this is the American democrat party. Race baiting, socialists that support open borders and chaos. They don’t have a lot in common with Magyar. Mamdani would be thrown out of Hungary. I tagged you here so you can see American democrats since you’re so far off in your ability to recognize what they look like or what there policies are. You got real confused in the other thread.
Mamdani is the progressive wing of the democrat party. You can tell because of all the establishment dems that came out against him during the election before finally bending the knee once it looked like he was going to win.

I've never read this thread, and don't really have any interest in running back through 7 pages of Mamdani bitching because I don't really care about the mayor of NYC. If you're trying to equate what the democrat party at large is doing because of the mayor of one city, then have at it, I won't stop you.

If you think I have any love for the Democrat party because I dislike MAGA, then well idk what to tell you. Have a blessed Monday!

Have you seen Trump's cabinet or what Hegseth is doing with the military?

It's not just one city though. Boston, San Fran, Chicago, NYC many of the democrat lead cities follow the same patterns and mantra.

It's their party. These are the same folks who vehemately denied and lied about DEI and trans issues affecting America. They said Jew hatred was no big deal as well.

It's the way of the world and how the political pendulum swings. Average Americans are hurting and are voting in people who has the message they believe will help them the most. NYC has had DECADES of milquetoast neoliberal and Republican mayors and they citizens aren't happy with the status quo. They elected someone they thought could help combat the main issues New Yorkers face (affordability, housing, food deserts.) We'll see how he shakes up, and I'm curious to see how his policies impact NYC writ large, but i'm taking a wait and see approach.

Griffin already left Chicago because the crime was too much for him. His assistant got robbed at gunpoint on the way to work and that was the straw that broke the camels back.

That is not accurate.

An Individual Taxpayer Identification Number (ITIN) is a 9-digit tax processing number issued by the IRS to individuals who need to file U.S. federal tax returns but are not eligible for a Social Security Number (SSN). It is used by resident/nonresident aliens, their spouses, and dependents regardless of immigration status. ITINs are used for filing tax returns, claiming credits, and opening bank accounts, but they do not authorize work or provide immigration status.
ok but from AI: No, individuals in the U.S. without legal authorization cannot legally work for U.S. employers. Federal law (8 USC 1324a) strictly prohibits hiring, recruiting, or referring unauthorized individuals, making it illegal for employers to hire someone knowing they lack work authorization, which carries fines and potential jail time

Housing prices are too high? Because rent control doesn’t work.

this will be a counter thought to all the other posts..but, there's a part of me that want to see this tax go through. For years we have heard Bernie Sanders tell us how great things will be if we just tax the rich. Ok, here's a real world experiment. Implement the taxes and let's see what happens

We have done the socialist / capitalist experiment many times. We all know the score.

I'm not sure the younger generation has had the opportunity yet. Seems as if a lot still see the benefits of taxing someone else so they can see the benefits...I look at Wilson in Seattle and Mamdani in NYC.

The folks who applaud the city owned grocery stores haven't figured out yet that the lower prices come at the expense of tax and rent income which will be paid through city taxes. Of course, they expect that someone one else is going to make up that. And who knows, they might be right. So, let the Mamdani plan work out and let's see where it takes us. Who knows this time might be different

And, while I don't live in NYC, I can always use some more free stuff paid for by someone else.
