He’s playing the best basketball of his career, but I just read a crazy stat about him. This sums up the modern NBA to a T. Dude has made 300M dollars in NBA contracts in his 15 year career so far. Consider this.

Again, Harris' name just looks out of place in this kind of company. He's better than the "journeyman" tag indicates, but that's probably the truest measure of his merit. Over 15 seasons he has played for five teams and been traded four times. He's never been an All-Star. Never scored 40 points in a game. Never been past the second round of the playoffs.

Insanity.

Totally different time and market, but I remember when Pippen signed like a 9 year deal worth 11 million dollars lmfao. He was still severely underpaid about 3 years into that deal but man. The explosion of salary can best be summed up by his career. Too good to let go, not good enough to earn his contract. He is on a “bargain” deal of 2 years/ 56 million dollars right now. Any average American would sign that deal for life lol.

I agree but I can’t figure out why. I don’t know a single person that consistently watches the NBA or is excited about the product. I used to love it but can’t make it through a game these days.
The playoffs are really good. There have unfortunately been some beat downs but the level of play is very high. It’s fun seeing teams execute offense so well. They actually defend with energy all game as well in competitive games. We all wish they would call flops and travels though.

American college sports are only popular in the USA. Likewise, the NFL and MLB are only popular in this country. The NBA is a world sport. That's why the NBA has money to burn.

You don’t live in an NBA city bub or even a state. Go to New York and talk to people about college bball and NBA and you’ll get it. The world is bigger than you and your circle.

I don't watch regular season but the playoffs are usually always good. It's not as good as the 80s or 90s IMO but still watchable nonetheless. There are more athletic/skilled freaks today than probably all of those great 80s and 90s years combined.
