Heard the OC from South Point isn’t coming back. Wouldn’t be surprised if he ends up at North Lincoln based off where he lives and the offense he knows.
I'm not sure that position even matters for that school lol every coach down to pee wee runs the same offense as the high school is pretty plug and Play All through the system

So I was perusing the Youtubes last evening and ran across a video and the name hit me.. .Chris Spade?

This cat gave us quite a bit of headaches back in those days, I remembered him as a very good runner....

any of you snot eaters know what became of him after Bandys? I remember maybe a college RB somewhere in state perhaps?

I remember spade I think he moved there from somewhere else not sure what happened to him after high school. Douglas went to Duke but also got some practice squad and think maybe a little tiny to playing time with the Giants. Brad Hall was the first muscle hamster LOL. I actually just talked to him today

I remember watching Spade at Bandys. He’s a couple years younger than me, sometime around when they had Harper and Woodlief. Spade was fun to watch. No idea what he did after high school. Bandys had a lot of good athletes in the early 2000s.
My favorite memory of woodlief was against maiden he scored the go ahead TD towards end of 4th qtr. Next series petey McLain caught ball time winding down and zig zagged through the whole defense to a game winning TD. And woodlief fell to his knees realizing he would finish his time at bandy's not beating maiden 😂

Bandys at Stuart Cramer
Franklin at East Lincoln
Hickory at West Henderson
Newton Conover at RS Central
Parkwood At North Lincoln
I don’t have a kid on the team so I would just be spitballing. We have started 6 different pitchers this year.

The article today about how the city of Lincolnton is going broke. Somebody cutting some services. Maybe y'all could auction off some players to raise funds 😂

How does Hickory look? West Henderson is playing their best ball of the year right now and seem to have made some positional changes that galvanized their group.
Franklin’s a decent group just short on pitching.

Or just tax Denver residents. They moved there to avoid Mecklenburg and Iredell.
It was in the paper here, last week. Each year, the board of county commissioners has to choose a method of how to distribute tax revenue between the county and municipalities in that county. The tax is either based on per capita or ad valorem. They’d been using per capita and changed to ad valorem. According to city government this will take over two million dollars away from the general fund, and could mean cutting some services. They’ll figure it out.

*We might could make it up from tax on the sale of alcoholic beverages particularly at bars and restaurants.
I’m convinced that no other town on this planet can get as many people in eating and drinking establishments (considering the space available) as we can. But I say, let ‘em enjoy themselves.:)

As a linebacker at the time...Spade was the real deal, he'd be second level before you could blink

I see where you got some sponsors, I congratulate you. If auto-body shops, paint-glass businesses and custom shops knew how many fans those events bring in, they’d be advertising with you.
Last time I was there, the entire side of the hill was covered with fans.

Hey, when you get to be an old man, your relatives will use this to try and take your assets. They’ll say you were a demolition driver and incurred numerous blows to the head.

Then some uptight, upright official will say, “How many blows to the head did he incur?” And the relatives will say “Oh, between two and three…hundred thousand.”

Then the same stuffy guy who’s hearing this matter will adjust his glasses, clear his throat and mumble, “I see.” But in the back of his mind he is thinking to himself, 200,000 times, D-@-*-n !

Not to worry, though…You still got a long ways to go before you’re old.:)

Great thing about being in my position I've got plenty of first place trophies sitting at home. So it gives me options on the night if I start out with a good run I can go for the win again. If I can tell my car just ain't feeling it that night I can sit back and if a guy is winning that I don't like or likes to play the rules, I can sit back and wait for him to come around and take him out ending his hopes and giving someone else a chance to win 😂. Either way the fans are happy and I'm happy
