So no fun coming up this June with calls to 28 class and scheduling fall visits? That was always something to talk about in the summer. I’m sure some programs will find a work around to start recruiting these guys. Luckily we have 2 commits already. I’m guessing if there was enough interest and the recruit could afford it, they could take unofficial visits this summer/fall as a way to have recruiting conversations with coaches and start entertaining offers?

Was Iowa (and everyone else) asleep at the wheel with this kid?? First he goes toe to toe with Melvin Miller at the PA Finals and now he takes it to Jayden James at the Pittsburgh Classic. Committed to American University.
Reagan Milheim.
Number 44 pfp, obviously under rated.

I mentioned him recently and was wondering if it’s too late to flip incoming freshman because the kid is a stud and at a weight we really needed until Schubert came along. I would still love to have him on our team, most impressive to me in those 2 matches too is that he actually went out there trying to get to his offense and not just keep it close to try to sneak 1 at the end. He has 2 brothers at American so I’m sure that’s why he ended up there, looks like he also visited Oklahoma state, Oklahoma, and Indiana.

Anyone know who the top 5 recruit is?

No idea. Quick math makes me feel uneasy about this if true.

Class of 2026 the only guy in that range is James

Class of 2027 the only guys in that range are Melvin Miller and Bachmann.

None for 2028.

My immediate thoughts were Bachmann as well, can't see it being Melvin

I fear that is the case as well but hopefully it’s not.

Maybe it is James. 5 for 5 puts him in a really tough spot lineup wise with PSU. He may not see the mat for 2-3 years.

I would be shocked if it was Bachmanns, they seem so bought in on Iowa.

But, I honestly don’t know. This will absolutely be a dagger if we lose the Bachmanns. This will continue that cursed trend that Flo has done! lol, the past 3 years they followed top recruits and sat with them as teams called in.

Knox committed to Cornell and then de-committed.
Bassett Commits to us and then de-commits.
Bachmann committed to us and I HOPE he doesn’t de-commit.

I'm pretty confident he is referring to Wyatt Medlin. He is Flo's #3 157lber and a 2026 prospect. He's currently committed to Illinois, Swaw is Illinois' radio guy so the fact he referred to him as "the" top 5 recruit, leads me to believe its Medlin. Could be wrong.

I thought that as well, but why would Medlin leave his dad? That would be a great pickup for anyone though. I wonder if we have any interest in this recruit that is opening his recruitment?

HOPE SO!
