People can spend their money however they want. Just like you elect not to spend on the premium board here. I might think that’s a good $100 a year investment, you obviously don’t.

I would pay half for just the articles.

The premium board is not worth it unless @lou v brings back a premium Rant Board.

There seems to be even more bullying on The Rock IIRC.

I’ve seen other articles that also include the detailed budgets of the athletic programs for some of the other BigTen schools that even with the elevated flow of money coming in the programs are struggling to break even or are underwater like Rutgers. I think it is a sad side impact that even with the new stream of money coming in that some smaller sports are being eliminated to bolster the major sports. Have to believe that travel costs for the BigTen expansion have increased and will only go up. Don’t see how some of these minor sports teams will be able to survive. When I attended the annual sports banquets at UC San Diego I was always amazed at the quality of the student athletes and their devotion to their individual sports while also maintaining high academic standards and being involved in community service activities.

Rutgers is an outlier as their spending is out of control and they are focused on hiring “leaders” who will only win DEI awards.

Right? I mean Schiano, Pickiell, Owens, Goodale, Shutte, Brecht, McElderry, Farrell... only eight of the nine head coaches for men's sports at Rutgers are middle aged white guys. The DEI is rampant!! Clearly they need to replace that pesky Cross Country coach. That would really turn things around.

Schiano’s massive football staff has so many unnecessary jobs it puts DEI to shame

Why didn’t Indiana get the most money? They played the most games and won the title.
