What has he done with it? He had the best pg in the country last year with a dominant roster and no injuries, yet he got wrecked. Made it 1 round further.
He also lost at home to Pope.
Bottom line is, Cal benefitted from the lockout. He doesn't get Jones, Miller and Lamb back without that lockout.
Heck, Cal lost in 2010, 2015, 2017, 2019, 2022 and 2024 with dominant rosters. Got upset by teams with half the talent.

No, Pope is most likely not winning a title in year 3 here, but Cal ain’t winning a title in year 3 at Arkansas either. It’s much harder to win a title in today's game than it was in 2012, that's not debatable.

Jesus, Cal went 38-2 in 2012, he had a generational talent and players that returned due to the NBA lockout, there aren't too many teams in the history of college ball that can compare to that year, but there are several reasons why Cal can't even duplicate that season.

I've been saying the same things on here for 6 months and it's not just me. Most of the guys being called "Popette's" aren't Pope "fans", we're just staying calm and hoping for the best, even though we all fully admit that Mitch made a mistake and Pope is most likely in over his head.
