Who do you want to see win the QB battle?

I would ignore that worthless loser. I actually made a custom CSS code to outright remove his posts and the "show ignored" button on the website. So now I'll never see his posts again. Knowing his uneducated stupidity is officially gone from my view feels very freeing.
If anyone wants a guide on how to hide Eyes of Retard's posts completely, let me know!
IIRC, Lester said that Brown had good mobility and decent speed going around the edges. He was not a power, up-the-middle guy like Gronowski. Lester recruited Brown to Iowa, and I don't think he would have done so if Brown weren't a good fit for his system. (Of course, that's not to say Hecklinski isn't a better fit.)
Let's be clear, too, that pocket passers can work fine in an RPO. The R part of that does not necessarily entail the QB running; it more often means handing off to the RB. What doesn't work well anymore are guys who have poor mobility and can't at least run occasionally.
not speaking for your nemesis but i would definitely say brendan sullivan was a step in the right direction — he completely turned around the ref zone offense for the better. second lester joined iowa in spring 2024 and signed brendan soon thereafter. considering where we were and the compressed time solid pickup despite later shortcomings.
Frankly, I forgot Sullivan even existed. He started about 5 games and then left. It's still in line with what I originally said though, Lester knows what to look for. Eyes of Retard's personal lord and savior, Brian, did not. It's no coincidence the first two guys Lester brought in, Brendan and Mark, were big improvements over what we saw prior.
But we all know Eyes of Retard doesn't know anything about football, or sports on general. Luckily I don't have to read his lies anymore either.
I struggled for some time with the concept of ignoring ol' eyes.
It seemed to me that my ignoring him was a defeat.
After giving the matter thought, I came to accept the fact that he, like roaches surviving a nuclear holocaust, would never acknowledge being in error, nor go away off into the sunset.
In addition, he had the (pathological?) tenacity of a pitbull.
Bottom Line:
I concur with those that have finally ignored/blocked ol' eyes, and did likewise.
I strongly suspect ol' eyes is a teacher/coach, past or present.
However in 40+ years in education, I have NEVER encountered the likes of him.
He DID serve one purpose; he made me READ BETTER!
I stopped speaking to him when he admitted he was here to only correct fans. He isnt here in good faith, meaning he never posts in good faith. Once I realized that I felt a lot better not responding to him. Decided to remove the temptation of looking at his ignored posts by using the Chrome browser extension called Stylus, and I made a small code to remove his posts and the "show ignored" button. Now I'm really free. The only person that loses in the situation where you ignore him, is Eyes himself. I just want to talk about Iowa sports, not argue about nothing with an egomaniac.
I have no real preference as to who wins the starting job out of fall camp. As far as my "QB wishes" go, they would go like this:
1) QB1 is the clear QB1 and proves it all season.
2) QB2 is prepared to play, because we all know that he will be needed at some point - Iowa has needed the backup QB to play significant and/or critical minutes every season since 2022; B Sully and Stratton were quality, prepared QB's; the others ranged from rather poor to disasters.

Brad Banks, Drew Tate, Ricky Stanzi, and CJ Beathard all say hello. Jeez, Beathard is still in the NFL. We've had some pretty great QBs under Ferentz.
Whichever one KF thinks gives us the best chance to win.....play the other one.
Mobile, doesn't freeze up, doesn't overthrow massively, actually gets developed enough to get drafted as a starting QB in the NFL.
Beathard hasn't played in a game in a couple years.
Plenty of hard W's in the hall of famer's book.
