Good player but stuff like this is why I'm glad we didn't get that clown.
No doubt about his talent but he really comes off that a creep.
Such a bold and powerful visual, spellbinding, mesmerizing, and scintillating.
It’s okay. He will say “all praise to god” while he pays for drugs and sex.
We didn't dodge ****. We needed him bad, for multiple reasons, and now the program is on a ventilator.
Yes, he's the perfect Kansas player and fits that image perfectly. But we still needed him, moreso for reasons not involving actual on court play.
I wanted the kid to come here, but I just don’t really care for what I see with him. To me he screams Louisville. Like, the city Louisville. He’s most definitely a better fit for KU.
Agree. However, UK is a beggar now, and you know what beggars can't be.
I would love for him to do like Peterson did and drive Self crazy.
To think he strung our head coach along like a girl with a teenage crush!

Just a young immature kid who's got a world of potential and more money than he knows what to do with.
“No guys I swear he’s gonna choose me, I just know he is”
-Pope secretly hoping Tyran is gonna ask him to prom
Why ask for all that money when he will be a top nuclear physicist with his degree
This isn’t wrong. UK needed a top flight talent for perception alone.
Wonder how many games he actually plays in this year....
Hes gonna do next to nothing for Kansas. Maybe he gets them one round further in the tournament but thats it.
Millions will be wasted on him

I personally loathe the Lawson twins because they are punk bitches and they effectively ushered in Tubby's downfall at Memphis. Tubby actually had them doing better than Penny is now, IIRC, but Tubby is NOT the man for the Memphis recruiting scene.
Do you think we're just all flashing currency here in Louisville or something?
As far as Stokes goes, it'd be hilarious if he only averages 8 points and quits by Feb but we wanted him and we needed him so I'm not going to pretend we'll be better off without him because it's more likely he burns us when we play KU. We can say we dodged a bullet if he fails next season or KU loses in the first round or something but right now in May, this thread just sounds very sour grapes and bitter.
The kid is just begging for a visit from Mr. Karma.
Like, pull his "tupee" off?
Pull it off and s.hit in it, so it sticks really good.
Apologies. That was a nasty generalization. I’m from Louisville myself, just saying.
So we got some like myself wanting to land Tyran Stokes. Hoping he picked UK. Saying pay him however many millions.
Then you're saying if he committed here and we had the number one player in the country flexing a couple twenties BBN wouldn't like it. That's the stuff I stay talking about. What a terrible young man he is enjoying his money. Show it off. You're only young once Kid.
I hate he didn't pick UK but I also moved on.

He's got the red and the LV poster in the back. He would have went to Louisville before he ever went to UK. I will say he played UK from the start. Well Pope.
He may just be the most unlikeable, POS recruit of my lifetime.
Would have loved his talent, but not the other stuff. Probably for the best he didn't come here.
Maybe he can buy Self a new rug and get that bird nest on his head trimmed down a little. That head and mouth are way to big.
This dude's mind is on anything but basketball. Hawthorne is going to punk that clown
Since you pick 20.5 as the starting point, I'm picking definitely the under....
Won’t be long and he’ll start beating women and raping them. Bill Self sets the standard for these kids. In order to complete the college experience you need to punch a woman in the eye.
Very talented and I don’t even think he’s a bad dude. Just very immature.
I work in a high school and there’s like 100 of this dude in every high school. This one just happens to be 6’7” 230lbs and is gifted af basketball. And also a millionaire.
If he matures and takes it seriously he will have a nice NBA career. But for one year I don’t know what his impact will be at any college because he isn’t mature enough yet IMO.

Even in the transfer portal era, there's still a place for elite one and done's to lead a contending level team. With that being said, it's incredibly hard to imagine Tyran being the best player on a final 4 level team. Has turmoil season written all over it. Pope missing on this kid reflects less poorly than him not dropping out when all the other big coaches did.
Don’t forget Tay Kinney also released his own “6 7 Water” upon committing to Kansas. Can only imagine the locker room with him and Stokes, hope Self has his cardiologist on speed dial.
