I watched this. I enjoyed the player interviews. A lot of the same platitudes by GS. The team really needs to surprise many this year. The clock is ticking, mediocre is not getting it done anymore.

It is going to be difficult to surprise because there are so many new players who will be acclimating. We didn’t get enough defensive help in the portal, we lack studs on the OL, aside from Asomoah, and we have a new QB. Signs are pointing to this being a reset year. 6 wins will be a push, 7 wins will be an overachievement. USC, UM and Indiana are out of reach. Our opportunity is in the rest of the games.

My biggest concern about the schedule TBH is that Maryland. Is notorious for playing well early and crashing.

Smh...let's look at the oline... besides Asomoah, dante chin was playing like a big time ol before his injury last year. Needham has played well at tackle for Rutgers. You just wonder about whoever will be starting at center and the other tackle. Coaches have been bringing solid looking ol prospects for years now, I think they have players in mind for these other 2 ol spots because they didn't bring in any ol transfers.....as far as the defense, you say there is no "talent"...let's start at linebacker, kamar Archie and dj Singleton not enough talent for these coaches to work with? At db, Kevin levy not enough talent? Kaj sanders? Tariq hayer? Incoming transfer mikey munn? If the coaches did a good job in evaluating and bringing in defensive lineman defense should at least be decent. Plenty of "talent" on that side of the ball...COACH THEM UP!

Who is LB Singleton ?
I do think that our LB unit is the best group on D. Walker, Wright, Archie, McClary, Morris, etc,

We’ll see Doug. USC will be here in September. Can’t BS your way out of that outcome.
I don't BS anything like you :ROFLMAO:
I don't want to come across as if this is personal, but I make it a point this spring to see Rutgers firsthand multiple times. Also, I've reached out to several contacts to get some in-depth previews on a few teams Rutgers will play this fall. They are associated with these programs, so they gave some great insights. I'm willing to bet the house on what they told me over what you post here all the time. So when I read some of the comments, I laugh.

I've defended you on other sites as they mock you. Your heart is in the right place, but some of your takes are out there. Btw, there are several former players who read the site, but never post. They get a kick out of some of the posters.

I have been on some of those competitive team sites and they laugh and ridicule Al mercilessly. Yet he goes back 😆

Luv ya Doug, but I don’t need to go to Rutgers practice to know that we don’t have a snowballs chance in hell against USC. They spent roughly $20M more than we did on NIL. $12-$13M on their incoming freshman class alone. Their football team is funded by millionaires and billionaires, something we hope to replicate someday.
