They had an entire starting lineup of Euros and the first guy off the bench too this year. He has potential but man it’s a risky play. Doesn’t surprise me at this point though.

Mark Pope is literally an idiot if he felt good about this recruitment. That's all. I'm done hoping that Pope will change.
It’s much easier just to accept that we will not get any top 20 players while Mark is here. Just accept it now. When you see things saying we are involved, or we have reached out or offered, just know it won’t happen.
Really - if he is anywhere near the first round he should go. Cause after next season, he won’t be. Honestly don’t care. We will be terrible next season anyway. That’s where I’m at right now. Sad, but true.
My hope he is as a freshman a step up from our freshman guard last year. Protect the ball. Don’t get manhandled. Control your dribble. Get others involved. Work your arse off defending. Cheer like hell for the starters.
At this point, UK will need all to step up and be better. Our season is currently depending on Moreno not going pro (50/50), Kam becoming 75-100% better, Hawthorne, well becoming all SEC, and our freshman will have to hold their own (like your saying) and not be turnover machines. I expect Mason to be in the rotation (currently) not so much for little Hawthorne.
If pope cares about his job and UK he’ll give up 4 million out of his salary to get this guy
At this point it’s best to stop visiting this board so frequently and just let the recruiting news come to you. We know this season is going to start off with some gut wrenching losses followed by apathy and then uncertainty going into the 27-28 season. I’ll still pull hard for our guys but its better for me to keep an open mind, instead of investing so much frustration in something I have zero control over
Sadly, well over the last couple of weeks, every Talented name popping has no mentions of Pope or Kentucky. It infuriating

I have no expectations for little Hawthorne. I think he will be a good practice player who can grow into something more as he matures. If he develops elite ballhandling, he could be good in a pinch.
