I don’t think it matters if he “goes all in” or not. History tells me we aren’t getting him. The highest rated recruit he has ever signed transferred from his home state school after a horrible year.

edit: said recruit also chose to go like 2k miles away to get as far from pope as possible. lol.

LSU seems to be the most likely landing spot.
I am in no way shape or form an insider, but a guy a work with who is an LSU alum knows some guys that are close with Wade. He told me last week Wade has 3 players committed that haven’t announced yet. Not sure why maybe making a “big splash” with multiple days of announcements.

He didn’t mention specifics but I’ll ask him if he has names tomorrow. I’m guessing this kid is one of the names though.

And it sounds like Santos might be another, which maybe Pope caught wind of hence the in person visit to Israel to try and convince him otherwise.

Someone said McNeil was one but he went back to NC State

Pope will sit this one out. His team's on the floor.

Who else is realistically left? He has to go all in on someone or else our roster is done for if we have any sort of injury.

Going hard after top kids is not Popes problem. They simply don’t want to play for him. I don’t know the reason for that. But he doesn’t connect with them.
Some have said bc the Hampton's are an odd family Pope may have a decent chance 🤣

Pope needs to hire his NBA cheerleading daughter to recruit and stay out of it. He might luckup and land someone.
I had to look. I've had cheerleader fantasies since I was stealing time on my parents PC to pleasure myself. I'm a brunette guy but I would not say no.

Good for Pope. Still sucks *** as a coach.

Based on what I’ve observed, Pope is constantly going “all in” to get left at the alter. So no, I don’t think he should go all in on anyone, ever. He should be casting a wide net and not holding spots open.

Offer him a starter position, start him and hope for thee best. Ends the he can’t recruit shitt and starts a star. Maybe it hit, maybe not but whatever happens you take back the narrative.
