Recruiting will end Pope's time here. Everything else from the losses and being down 20-40 points to his bizarre behavior and others around us like Florida and Louisville getting better is just icing on the cake. He needs to have a massive year next season and we're going to start out in a hole and not in the top 25. I'm sure KSR will start to fanboy by Oct. and act like we could do something special but it's probably not going to happen. We needed to make a big statement this offseason and that statement ended up being a bunch of dudes hearing our pitch and going elsewhere.

Louisville has gone all in this year. One of their biggest recruits was the return of Papa John.
I had never heard of South Estern Prep untill this year and I have lived in the Orlando area most of my life. It openened in 2022. I can see why they are attracting top tallent.

Yes SEP is located in Orlando and Mount Verd Accadamey is located West of Orlando by about 15-20 miles. I can look out my backyard, across Lake Apopka with binoculares and see MVA,. It is an old chaming and beautiful campus, but they can't compete with the facillities that SEP has. It looks like the days of MVA fielding the most tallented roster ln the country are over. You are correct about the money being crazey.

TrollVery serious! We are better 1-5, they have a better bench and Pope is 10x the coach PK will ever be. PK has no game plan, makes no adjustments and is a poor x-o coach. His whole philosophy is very bad spacing and jacking 3’s with zero adjustments at any point in the game. I’m a coach, I pick up on these things.
He’s trying to cover his coaching discrepancies with lots of talent but he can’t manage all those egos, I mean look at the guy..
No one knows how much Addidas is giving them. Mikel Brown's NIL mostly came from Adidas. Wouldn't shock me of this guy is getting the same deal. IMO being a flagship University for one of the smaller Shoe Companies is better than being one of 20 with Nike. Oregon and Duke are their schools of choice right now.

Not always about money. UK offered as much to Stokes as Kansas did and had the advantage of being a Nike school and he still didn't come here.

This guy lived just out of DC was a big Redskins fan. Said to me how we take this more serious then red skin fans take fb. So these clowns come on to this board and try to change our tradition. I’m not gonna let happen. I’m gonna put you on ignore and then if I see other people start to pop up, that means maybe Mark Popes doing a good job, but I don’t expect anybody else to pop up once I put these guys on ignore. Gen X and the baby boomers that still sit on the edge of their seat for Kentucky sports especially basketball we have to show the younger generations how it works. I hope they beat us by 30+ and there’s boos are absolutely deafening. Hope Pope walks out crying and resigns after the game. Either way, just lose by 20-30 and it will seal his fate and we will be rid of him after next year.
You’re a nice guy, but you’re setting yourself up for disappointment if you believe Pope isn’t the issue. The guy can’t cut it here. You’ve made every excuse possible for him. Even made a thread downing the program to do it. He’s not uk material as a head coach. His recruiting, handling the media, getting blown out in a bunch of games, etc have been so bad that he’s made it obvious Mitch messed up. It takes a special coach to survive at a blue blood.
