Got bigger, got more athletic. I'd like to see a more experienced 4 man in addition to Sanders, but I don't know how many of those guys are left. We'll see how the pieces come together offensively but the defense had to be shored up and I think this group is a step forward.

We haven't been to the NCAA tournament since 2024-2025. This is by far the longest streak without an NCAA tournament appearance during Jans's tenure at MSU. You have to go all the way back to Ben Howland to find a coach with a longer NCAA tournament dry streak. That's why everybody is freaking out and sure that Jans sucks as a coach. Jans has only made the tournament 75% of his seasons here. Some would argue 50% if you want to not count the playin games. In the past 30 years, the only other MSU coaches that have made the tournament 50% or less of the time are: Ben Howland, Rick Ray, Rick Stansbury, and Richard Williams. It's no wonder they've lost all hope.

Lots of excuses for a guy that has 0 tourney wins and has yet to finish .500 in the SEC. But you are right. If this trash class somehow comes together he may can squeak in to the 76 team tourney with another mediocre run thru the league.
