Indiana #5 because of 2 seasons out of 25 were great. They had a lot of putrid seasons so far this century
Iowa needs to make a CFP to move any higher on that list.
I would have Iowa lower tbh. I maybe wouldn’t even rank them. Two 10 win seasons sure, but if we’re being honest with ourselves we were taking advantage of the weak B1G West. Wasn’t our point differential against teams that finished ranked in the top 25 like 100-0 or something? Didn’t win a single game against a team that finished ranked in the top 25 poll until Vandy.
This last 2025 team was the first truly good team this decade in my opinion. 1 or 2 more bounces their way and we’d probably be talking about a great team that made the playoffs.

Agree- the worst college football team in general but wins a natty … but they earned it thanks to Mellonhead and the other dude with all the money to burn
When Indiana had Penix, I believe they were top ten at the time when they came to Kinnick ‘21 or ‘22.
Did you go check all the other teams ahead of Iowa and see how many of the sucked also?
Correct. Wish we had Mark for one more year, he finally hit his stride at the very end of the season. This is the year we have a real shot to get to the CFP. But I think young QBs and a mediocre Dline will keep us out.
