Who was the Poster/Teacher on here who had the thread about the girl in his class? She kept dressing in a very provocative manner?

I bet all the male students transferred to his class and switched majors.
High school girls doing the same. Jaw dropped last week when I had to address a student club.

That would be me. Things pretty much settled down until yesterday when she came to our last class on full display. Well, not “full” but you get the picture.

So give Neeli a million and then

The board also voted to increase tuition for the 2026-2027 school year for both in- and out-of-state students by 2 percent and 4 percent respectively.

Fu$k off!!!!!
Govt at its finest!!
Stick it to out of staters already at a hire tuition than in state and 4 percent while instate gets 2 percent.

for me another 3200 minimum so have to make 5k for that at least I’m sure room and board will be jacked as well.

pancake sale in nmb. Cmon down.

I'm sure all the staff and administrators that looked after these important majors will find work somewhere - like down the hall! They aren't going anywhere.

Good. Focus on degrees that produce jobs.

Psu football needs a zuckerburg, Ellison or gates.
I agree, but that list of degrees that produce jobs may be very different today versus 3 to 5 years from now in this age of AI.

Some majors currently have zero enrolled students 🤷‍♀️

Penn State is currently operating budget in 2019 was $6.8 billion.
"Penn State is currently operating under a $9.9 billion budget."

Is the increase approximately 5.5% per year for the last 7-yrs.... 🤷‍♂️?

Anthropology, Golf, Understanding Football. Etc.
The Professional Golf Management program actually more than pays for itself and has great placement records in the biz.

I worked with them from inception til about 7 years ago. I have no problem with them at all. Burch and Eric are top notch. People want to play golf and want well rounded, well spoken golf professionals. If PSU wants to provide them - good on them.

No one wants or needs the programs and the graduates they produce that are being cut obviously. Or they wouldn't be being cut.

Dang! At least my students are all over 18.
High school girls doing the same. Jaw dropped last week when I had to address a student club.
Funny this thread reappeared, today I was at a HS in Lion Jim's neck of the woods (not SHS though), and talking with a teacher there right before lunch. His daughter is a senior at the school and she stopped by right as we were finishing up. I can't believe a dad in the building would let his daughter dress like she was. Pretty girl, skinny and barely covered at all, both top and bottom. Boobs out, belly button piercing showing, shorts that barely cover her bum. If he doesnt already have issues with her, I think he will soon.

Okay, I'll continue this. I'm in the Lehigh Valley, and the Morning Call has begun running its annual photo logs of local high school proms. OMG. First, some of these girls ought to have their heads examined for wearing such trashy gowns. Legs (skinny, nice, fat) are being bared as though everyone is Taylor Swift. Second, low, low cut gowns are also in. With some it's just fine for the viewer. With others, too much is too much. Every once in a great while you'll see a very attractive girl in an attractive, appropriate gown. But, what the heck is appropriate these days? I guess damn near nothing, or then again, everything. The boys look geeky with strange haircuts and odd tuxedo combinations that don't make sense. I guess if I were 17 or 18 again, all would be fine. But, c'mon kids, learn how to dress. Especially the girls who are pretty but ruin their good looks with unbecoming clothing that has a one-leg slit all the way up to their _______. And the population is declining?

I was very concerned when I read that PSU may cut 49 Majors. I feel this will hit hardest at the College of Earth and Mineral Sciences (EMS). EMS has many majors with tiny enrollments. Back in the day I was a metallurgy major. In my last two years we had only 8 people as undergraduates. There were other majors with similar numbers in EMS. I remember the Dean noted how low numbers in classes hurt the college in funding. I fear that losing these majors will change the nature of PSU. These low enrollment major, most in technical areas allowed PSU to full fil the requirement of PSU to support the commonwealth in vital industries.
The low enrollment was due to two factors. First the lack of wide knowledge about the majors. The second was the prerequisites required. For example in my major we had to take Physical Chemistry (PC). This course alone caused many folks to change majors.
Today Metallurgy as a major does not exist. It was morphed into Material Science and Engineering. Still a small enrollment when compared to other majors.

Had an old bumper sticker that read "Honk if you passed P-Chem". I did at both PSU ad tOSU, but Prof. Gerkin's thermodynamics class was a bear (I almost said "put me in a pickle", but...).

Your post reminded me of my undergrad days when some students were wearing t-shirts that said:

”I survived Physics 202”.

It was considered a badge of honor.

We had one 202 exam where the mean was 33%.

It was four option multiple choice.
