LOL, what? Nobody thinks much of this team either, but that's not the point.
The 24/25 team is an example of a lower talented squad doing really good things, because they fit together.
24/25 set a record for most quad 1 wins, beat the eventual national champion, beat a loaded duke team, who also went to the FF and made it to the sweet 16 without Robinson and with Butler playing with an injured shoulder.

so they won 2 tourney games and had MANY blowout losses and played a lethargic brand of basketball

Auburn lost at home to Florida by 25 points, made it to the FF.

But look at you, going right to the negative. There was far more positive with that 24/25 team than negative. With a healthy Butler and Robinson, that team beats Tennessee and at least has a shot at Houston. But keep dwelling on bullsh*t negative agendas, obviously it helps you cope.

Maybe you need a safe space to embrace the suck?
It would suck to play on a team where people continuously post like this. I am glad that the overwhelming UK fans would never post such a thing. But, the ones who will are right here on Rafters. Not a surprised.

The whole Pope era has been me coping buddy, watching all the school around us pass us up in talent, us struggle to get 20 wins a season with rosters with no spark to them, its not enjoyable to me

Oweh was also better than anyone on the 24/25 team, including himself, which team was better?

The fit is more important to a teams success than anything else.

It looks to me like the team being assembled right now, fits together a whole lot better than last years team did and Pope isn't done adding pieces.

Only RR would complain about adding Momcilovic.
1. Agree with most of your points.
2. Pope was the architect of last year's flawed roster after doing a decent job the year before (great job considering the circumstances).
3. As far as Pope not being done adding pieces, there is not much left except leftovers. Not having a GM is killing him and it is his own fault. He was joking about that a few months ago and now the joke appears to be on him.

It's been 2 years and a the negative crap you jist posted, is solely a 25/26 thing.

The guy had 1 bad season, you act like he went to the NIT both years. 24/25 didn’t" struggle to get 20 wins".

When you have to stretch the truth to make a point, you don't have a point.

Yup, Pope deserves all the heat for building that 25/26 roster. Terrible job.

But there are other options and I would say, if he can get a kid that is going through the draft process, but pulls out of it, that kid is going to, at the very least, be a damn good player. He will be a better option than the ones that aren't good enough to even try their hand at going pro.

Ok so timeout bro, I have been this way every season under pope, I really didnt enjoy the first season here, im not joking or trying to pull your leg, im talking about how I felt

I grew up in a era of UK basketball where no matter what, no excuses, we would roll the ball out in the fall with the better roster 99% of the time, with an exciting playstyle with stars flying up and down the floor

i will NEVER be a fan of the system, no dribble, layup or three pointer style that pope uses

Keegan Brown is in the position of GM. Like most schools, they don't call it a GM position, but it's the college version.
Incidentally, most teams DON'T have an actual GM.

They had 2 guys out and two very limited due to injury in that sweet 16 game. They beat UT twice already that year. Carr was at about 50-60% health and gave us what he could. Butler was at maybe 70-80%. If even 2 of those 4 players were at 90% effectiveness we very likely beat them again.

And you get banned and start over a lot. Disagreeing with the hive isn't whining. It's just having an actual, thought out opinion. Not just harassing people and stalking.

I’ve been let down too many times by Pope’s inability to coach, motivate and manage egos so I’ll let next season play out and rejoice

I honestly think there are more folks on here hoping we don't get Momcilovic than do out of fear we might have a good team and keep Pope. Question...shouldn't we all be pulling for him to make at least an Elite Eight? And if not why are you here?

I want Momcilovic because I think he could be a game changer and is probably our last hope of being a really good team. He has been one of my favorite players in the portal. I would actually have hope with him added to this roster

If we don't get him, I'm afraid we will be mediocre again. My worst case scenario is having a fringe top 25 team and maybe winning a game in the NCAA tournament. Then, there would be a real possibility of nothing changing. It's an awkward position to be in. I want to have a good team next year and an actual contender, but I would rather be bad than mediocre again. That might not sit well with some people, but that's my honest opinion.

So Pope will 100% hold a roster spot and NIL funds as long as he wants. Only for him to likely choose someone else. **** me.

Ahh...the Cal resistance and with nostalgic amnesia to boot.

While I was far from a hater, pretending he was running some exciting offense before the last couple of years is overwrought at best.

He had widely become regarded as a dinosaur with less than stellar bench coaching, stubbornly pounding the rock down low and running floppy.

To his credit, he got some help in and sort of changed up (though the defense fell off a cliff) at least until tourney time where he tightened up and went with what he knew and we got bounced by buns again and again and again.

You can have elite players and do more than run GO!!!

There is a balance to be struck. Rolling out the balls promises nothing, not even even entertainment value.

I know rolling out the ball doesnt promise entertainment bc to me the last two years have been the least entertaining uk teams in my lifetime

oh i still dont like oweh as a first option ill always stand by that, many games this season were borderline unwatchable because of him

Still better than momcilovic though, for example if oweh had a year left and entered the portal he would be ranked number 1 undoubtedly, ABOVE milan
Oweh wasn’t anything special at all, couldn’t dribble, couldn’t shoot, was often a black hole, took plays off, very selfish, thank goodness he’s gone.

And JQ was never hurt and all the other conspiracy theories. I’m going to stand by what I said and not take you seriously. Mom is a great shooter, good passer, decent at everything else, but not great. Stokes is a top NBA pick who can dominate a game.
I take nothing you say seriously,If you think this guy is only good at one aspect, then you don't know basketball,And like Goodman said he will run over Self and they will flame out,,Milo can do every thing well ,he needs to get a little stronger is why he'll probably come back

There are a lot of posters on this board who would rather lose and be right than win and be wrong.

Would love to have him on next year's team.I would actually rather have him than Stokes.
Nah, he's not that kind of player.
I would have rather had Jalen Harrelson than stokes though. Uk talked to him n moved on, now he's at Tennessee and will be all sec this year. Top player from last year's highschool class. He's a dude
