East had most round 1 game 6s since 2014...West seems like 2 horse race...very gutsy effort by the TWolves spare parts tonight.

2 friends are Knick fans. (Me, a Laker fan.) I watched Jeopardy with my wife last night and texted them good luck at 8pm. I turned on the game and they are already up by 30, so I look to see if something else is on. Check back to the game in a few, up 40. then 50, then 60. I wonder if any other team has held a 60 pt lead in a deciding playoff game. Incredible performance.

NBA playoffs have been awesome, although the injuries have been a shame. NBA in general is in a great place right now. Not on the same planet as CBB, but still great.

I've never seen anything like it in the playoffs. Just complete domination. Hawks played well the first few games but the Knicks flipped a switch after game 3.

I love the NBA playoffs. It's the best version of basketball to watch other than the NCAA tournament in my opinion.

Timberwolves looked fantastic last night. Gobert, Randal and Reid on the floor at the same time caused a lot problems for Denver. That was fun to watch. I hope Edwards is back for the series with the Spurs. Could be a good series.

I'm a casual Knicks fan and I think they have a shot to come out of the east but the west is just so strong.

The fact that at least three of the Knicks first six games were on channels I don't get, really took the edge off my interest.

I still find college basketball so much more compelling than the NBA from November to March. Just down on the NBA regular season for a while now. Even though I love the Knicks.

But NBA playoff basketball is awesome.

With you there. Specific matchups can be fun but otherwise the regular season can be rough. Post season is great.

NBA regular season is terrible. Pretty unwatchable. 10 teams actively and blatantly tanking and the other 20 teams all make the playoffs. Load management means you never know if a star player will play if you spend big money for tickets.

NBA Playoffs are compelling and the level of play is incredible. It lacks the personal rivalries and grudge matches of the NBA Playoffs I grew up with in the 80s and 90s but the skill and athleticism of the players are off the charts. Games are exciting and fun to watch.

I've been a Mamu fan more than an NBA fan lately and follow the Raptors games........ not a big follower of NBA these days but have to admit the Raptors games have been fun to watch when I can get them......
They play a pretty enjoyable brand of basketball. Good ball sharing and team defense and a coach who seems to understand how to use all the pieces well.

Playoffs have had great games and moments but there are still so much frustrating and toxic BS from on court to off court cringe drama that has drawn me away from the nba.

It’s why I want to see SH at least make the tournament cause I prefer the passion and win for your program/ club mentality than the arrogant oh let’s suck off these golden boy stars that want all the media praise and give F all to their own team or fans for me.

And maybe it’s just me and why I feel drifting away from NBa is best for me, but I think it’s pathetic someone like Jokic has a bad series and then Sixers and Embiid win against injured clerics and now everyone can disrsespct Jokic and act like that choking arrogant golden boy Embiid was always 10000 better now.

The whole player first culture has become toxic to me. It makes nba fans earn the worst American sports fans stigma for me.

And lastly, the fact nba fans cry like the annoying babies they are about propagating tanking and cry about nba trying to actually make team EARN being contenders than getting a pathetic reward for purposely winning 10 games and think you actually deserve a top draft prospect is another example how nba fans have become just unbearable to me.

I still love the game and I want to watch when I can but it’s not worth being too invested or taking seriously.

If they are only going to value entertainment and toxicity then they aren’t valuing real fans of basketball or sports.

It’s the difference why nfl and mlb has argaubly become stronger over the years.

Theycneed to think about real
Basketball fans and not having their arrogant entitled stars control everything.

Anyone who says Embid is better than Jokic needs to have their head examined, lol. And that's not a knock on Embid.

Relative to the playoffs, ESPN did a look at those teams that are not part of Round 2 and examined the off season, free agents, the upcoming draft, etc. Mamu got some pretty good mention.. He made 2.461 mill last year and has until June 29 to opt in to his 2.8 million player option for next year. He is expected to decare for free agency and is listed as a priority for the Raptors to try and keep. He played himself into a good spot this past year. 11.1 pt average for the season, and 15.9 for the 13 starts he had. over 50% shooting and just under 5 rebs per game.

Here's the full article on Toronto. You can get the same for any team not yet eliminated from playoffs.

Yes, very happy for Sandro. He is the last SHU player in the NBA. He’s earned his next contract.

I watched the last 7 minutes of the Knicks Sixers & it was exactly what I expected. All 1 on 1 BS with a bunch of off balance, contested & missed 3’s. It also took over 30 minutes with all the commercials they had to squeeze in.

If you’re not watching the Knicks, you’re missing great basketball.
Agree, playing great team ball. Wife is asking since when do you watch all these games! Glad they kept these guys together, they look like they enjoy playing together. Knicks are Attacking the rim, games are extremely physical. Surprised there are not more injuries especially against the Sixers. Need to finish them off and get out of there alive. Brunson is amazing especially when you need a big basket. Real chance to win a championship this year.

Living in Pennsylvania, the one reason I’m happy the Knicks won is that I no longer have to listen to or watch insufferable Philly fans. It’s like the only thing they cover on the local news are sports teams when they’re in the playoffs.

Not a Knick fan. I watch the Nets if they are OK, so not much local nba viewing for me lately. A yr or 2 ago, HallDan write incredible praise for Brunson. Thought it was over the top. It wasnt. Man, can that guy play. Getting his shot off virtually anywhere he wants. Knicks are a well put together team. Lots of options. 76ers beating the celts was helpful. Hope they can make it to the finals. Game 2 was a great game to watch.

The Rangers repeated after 54 yrs. But it is only 53 since the Knicks last won, beating my Lakers. Maybe they are a yr ahead of schedule.

Knicks up 30 with 22 of 35 three pointers late Q3. Historic as they tied NBA record with 18 at the half.

When I still had media credentials in the pregame conference room Gary Cohen and I went back and forth. Cohen thought he was good but did not agree when I said he was the second best PG in Big East history. Second in my opinion to AI.

Being a Knick fan when he committed it was second to me next to the Knick's winning the Ewing lottery.

When you are right you're right. And you hit this one out of the park.

As a Laker fan, I not only watched the celts beat us all thru the 60s, but I loved how they played. Then Russell retires and the one great Knick team of my lifetime takes over and beats us 2 out of 3 and plays beautiful ball. Can this Knick team go all the way? I think so. And they play a great style of hoops too. Imagine, having a 6 footer taking contested 2s, and they like it.

That was an unbelievable game last night. I didn't think Spurs would win without Fox. Derby is something is right.

Wemby, Harper, Castle is a scary trio for the future. The OKC dynasty will not be long lived. They better grab #2 this season.

WOW! Major comeback by the Knicks who looked like they were finished. Down 22 points in the 4th Q with 8 minutes left, they went on 44 to 11 run in the 4th Q and OT to win 115-104. Brunson was excellent during the comeback abusing James Harden. And when they finally began doubling him, Bridges, OG & Shamet all hit clutch shots.
