There is only 1 ball and a lot guys that think they are the guy at Duke. That team looks like recipe for disaster to me. The way they have been stacking rosters the last 10 years, you'd expect them to have been on a UCLA 70's run.

If you listened to the media, they would have you believe that Duke is on a run like those UCLA teams

Same can be said about UK? I'm pretty sure many coaches could have a very successful season when given $22M to buy a team. The fact that Pope didn't is an indictment on him.

It is not about simply money. At Duke it is about networking & multiple relationships. It is a massive team working together. UK has money but not the multiple relationships & networking that Duke has.

That's because it's a glaring weakness of Pope -- comically glaring, in fact. Best believe a real coach equipped to do the job at a blueblood has those connections. One high potential example would be Jai Lucas. And yes, it's ultimately the AD's fault for making the hire knowing about this glaring weakness, but Pope has nothing to elevate himself in that regard during his time here, either. To be fair to Pope, he clearly is not lazy (a common Tubby accusation), but he just doesn't have it in him.

Some think he won't be eligible. Pope is by far the worst recruiter I have ever seen. I wonder how much money it costed the boosters to fly him around the world.
It "costed" Zero. You realize UK actually has a thing called a "budget". Travel is just one of many line items in the budget lol.

Charlie Neiman is a senior Amazon executive who serves as Head of Sports Partnerships at Amazon’s Prime Video, where he leads major sports media deals and streaming strategy.

He is also a Duke University alumnus, making him part of the group of Duke graduates working in influential roles at Amazon.
Their GM is literally the former bag lady at Nike who was in charge of getting piles of cash to recruits through their "grassroots" program. It's really a story of infiltration and elitism. The elitist school has ties to crooks from Nike and Amazon. Kentucky has ties to crooks at JMI.

It takes more than a coach. As the NBA model is taking root in college, they have to think more like an organization model rather than a mere coaching staff model. Scheyer did not build Duke into the organization it is becoming,..

You're correct on a grand scale, but I think you are underestimating the connects that Scheyer has. It's one of the reasons K pivoted from Amaker and then Capel for the coach in waiting.

Which would mean they are still over there. 20% of the population would indeed be a minority but also a whole lot of people so idk what you're trying to sa
The joke doesn't make sense, most people understand the vast majority of the population in Israel is Jewish. In 2018, there was only 18.3% of Israel's population who were Muslim, there's probably much less than that now. It would have made sense if you said he was trying to convert people from Judaism.

That's true

Duke Basketball hired Rachel Baker, a former Nike executive, as its General Manager in 2022. Baker was previously identified in federal court documents related to the Michael Avenatti extortion case against Nike, which involved allegations of illicit payments to recruit Zion Williamson.

Court filings revealed that Baker, who led event strategy for Nike’s EYBL, allegedly expressed concern about carrying large amounts of cash through airport security and stated she would lie to law enforcement if stopped. Specifically, she reportedly said she would claim she had "just sold my car" to explain the presence of the funds during travel for Nike-sponsored events.

I didn't know that she was the bag lady for Zion and other recruits. Duke is untouchable when it comes to cheating. They have been doing it for a long time. Remeber Chris Duhon's mom getting a high paying job that was not posted and she was not qualified for. The good thing for Duke is that they don't have to cheat in todays system, so their reputation will always be impecable, according to the record books.

Nike gave Marvin Bagley II an exclusive licensing deal where he basically made money for nothing. Then they all lived in a mansion despite having no real job other than as a nike funded aau coach.

They pulled out these stops just for mb3 who wasn't even a generational type. Can you imagine what Nike probably did for zion and coop?

Okafor was the first guy nike paid to go to duke. From 14 on, everyone knew he was a duke lock.

The joke made plenty of sense. Plenty. You know what jokes are? If there was only one lone Muslim left then that's the one I was taking about.

They both start with M. It just went better than saying he's converting jews but you can insert that word if you want. You know jokes aren't serious. I didn't say what I said to be factually correct about anything. Once again it's a joke. And also some jokes aren't funny they are just sarcastic. I'm on rafters having to explain what a joke is . Good grief lol

Also to the guy wanting to debate my joke. Focus on Pope. Not Muslims or jews. It was about Pope. Not anything or anybody else.

But while we are on the subject ...the player he went And seen I would bet is a Muslim. Did you see a picture of him? Looks like a Muslim to me. But he could be a Mormon already and not have to be converted.

Wall, Cousins, Knight, MKG, Davis, Noel, Randle, Harrison Twins, KAT, Booker, Monk, Fox, Bam all came to UK for the education and received nothing in return though right?

Hey don't worry about. Duke's athletic director was allowed to investigate these accusations along with the Lance Thomas jewelry scandal, Duke's academic scandal and the Rasheed Sulaimon rape allegations, and he found no wrongdoing in any of these cases.

Thamel and forde literally dug through trash in Birmingham Alabama thinking they were really going to get Cal this time. Never found anything. Not a shred.

Go away.

From age 14 on literally everyone knew okafor was going to Duke. Barely anyone even bothered to spend any time recruiting him.
