If we get him we could be as good as last year.

I would definitely like to have him. He is an incredible solid shooter and would stretch the floor for slashers and create space for post-up players to operate.Maybe just maybe this will be our guyr

Im going with Unicorns or Mermaids! We had 3 years of opportunities, and not a single star player has been signed by UK. Not. One.

Solid shooter? He's arguably the best shooter in college basketball. He's a must get and raises the floor or this team immensely by joining.
Oweh is not better than Momcilovic LMAO. He is a better athlete.
We have a real PG this year. I love DA, a d he did fine but is not a point. Wilkins is better than Chandler was last year, plain and simple. Momcilovic shoots 47% from three and averaged 17 a game, he would open up the court in a way Oweh never could. I like both our PFs better than the two we had last season. Year two Moreno is better than year one. In what world would we not be much better?
That guy ain’t coming to Kentucky there’s not enough money to pay him nil that he’s gonna demand. I mean pope might get two or 3 million to throw at him that’s it. Then there’s the elephant in the room that no one wants to play for Pope almost absolutely no one definitely no one that’s like highly successful so my recommendation is quit dreaming. We’re not gonna land that guy there’s no money for him.. Pope’s gonna have to play with what he’s got to prove himself. He’s had an opportunity after opportunity to land a player. I don’t believe like all of a sudden he’s gonna land some stud that’s potentially going into the NBA. I wish we would discuss how we’re gonna fix the problems like how we’re gonna get rid of Eli and hire a basketball A.D. instead of talking about the lineup all the time.
momcilovic is a better shooter yes but thats about it, otega ALSO impacts the game on defense and being more physical
i do think wilkins is better than chandler but we cant be "milan and wilkins & friends" and be successful
Momcilovic is also efficient offensively. Oweh, as much as I like him could also impact the game in a negative way...by dropping his head and driving into triple teams

People saying they would rather have Mom over Stokes should not be taken seriously. Mom is a great shooter but if he doesn’t shoot it at a 50% rate next year, he wouldn’t be worth the money. He’s a slow white dude that can’t create his own shot and doesn’t play great defense. Would I take him? Of course. But he’s not worth $4million.

And JQ was never hurt and all the other conspiracy theories. I’m going to stand by what I said and not take you seriously. Mom is a great shooter, good passer, decent at everything else, but not great. Stokes is a top NBA pick who can dominate a game.

I'm not going to count on this. But if it did happen it would be Pope's 'Lloyd Christmas Moment.' I'd much rather have 22-year-old Milan Momcilovic, experienced with a very good college team, 17 ppg and 48 percent for 3, for one year than 18-year-old high school egomaniac Tyran Stokes.

Stokes has a ton of baggage. I would put Mom over Stokes for that reason. Also, Stokes is going to be a Freshman. Sometimes Freshmen struggle in a way experienced players don't. I know that is a weak argument but it it is still valid to some degree.

Same here. Freshman are too unpredictable. You know exactly what you are getting with Mom. Plus he doesn't have all the character red flag concerns.
I'd take my chances with a known performer at the D1 level over a great HS player who is untested at this level.
Stokes will likely be a game changer. But Mom definitely will. And I'm guessing at a lower price.
If Pope doesn’t have anyone when or if Mom is available, then he is worth 4M. How many wins does he bring? Pope needs wins next year or he will lose his job. How much money does the university lose if UK basketball has a bad year?
I haven't seen anything to even suggest he has any interest in UK.
You would think they would invest whatever success would cost. Cheaper than Pope's buy out.
Who have you read he IS interested in?
I could feel a lot better about our season if Pope can add this guy. But, everyone with the money will be after him.
