I mean yeah they got future nba players coming off the bench, and we got (maybe) one starting
NBA players didn't help them 2 years ago against us.
We've seen it happen with too many mouths to feed. To get all that talent to gel and be happy getting under 15mpg will be a tall order.
Who will coach Duke once scheyer fails again? Or are they just trying to raise off season banners?

He will ultimately win a title just like Cal did, he have such overwhelming talent they along with the refs will win it. SJU was a better team, though refs carried Duke in that game.

Well, Calipari had the greatest roster of all time in 2015, and honestly, was really lucky to beat Notre Dame to get to the Final Four, and then lost to a Wisconsin team, that had far less talent.
Trust me, if anyone can **** up a super loaded roster besides Calipari, it’s Scheyer.

I would love to see the game though. lol. I say we win by 10-12 on a neutral floor. Now their starting five would probably get us by around the same. End of year, we’ll have to see. We need another player, a superstar that fits with the roster and can take over when needed to be a match for anyone top 20 and above in my book.
I’m hoping we can pull out at least 20 wins this year just so we don’t lose our all time win record, or by too many! who knows though, these guy may have been born to play together and make fools out of everyone.
And 30 plus games. Seasons like that bring in a ton of money. We’re making money but a lot of boosters aren’t very happy and without their support it’s over. Duke fans are on top of the world with how they’re doing, we would be to.
No one can convince me that Duke only spends 10 million on their roster. More like 30 million.

Exactly, no doubt that Duke epically choked two years in a row. Every year they are elite though and basically an elite 8/final 4 lock. The rosters are amazing and fun. I would love to have that again.
Even if they choked they played an entertaining type of basketball and certainly were not down by 20 in multiple games. The end result is not always the only measure of success. Most of us would have been happy with a competitive team than made it to the elite 8 which is something we have not done in a number of years. We will not make it that far this coming year either . Every team that makes it to that point has at least one or two players who can be go to scorers.
They may just not be paying for all of it this season. It may be deferred and ongoing. Plus "in-kind" benefits that stay off of the books period. Duke was always known to be extremely generous with those types of "benefits."
Well TBH, I have zero confidence in the team Pope has assembled so far. I hope to be proved wrong, but right now there’s no reason to think they’ll be competitive.

He did NOT choke! He had his team in the Final Four and one kid made a fatal mistake. That mistake had zero to do with his coaching ability. Why we have try and kick someone to the curb just because they are not at KY is just ignorant. I would 1000% trade Pope for John Scheyer and 99% of our fans would be thrilled. I would also be thrilled to have Duke's record for past 4 years here in Lexington. Just because we have a poor coach does not justify trying to bash other coaches down to Pope's level. Grow some balls and face reality that currently we are jealous we are strugglig and Duke is kicking axx.
Sleepers is pretty terrible. Just a bunch of college kids filming in their dorm rooms with silly, a lot of times knee jerk takes. Good for them having fun with their buddies and trying to make a business out of it. And maybe in time they can grow it to something big. But right now it gets pretty boring to watch after about 2 mins.
