I mean, everyone who follows CBB to some extent knows this. For some reason, there are a handful of people on this board that can't see it and do incredible mental gymnastics to convince themselves everything is fine and that this roster is anything other than a bottom-third SEC roster.
Clay Travis hates UK. He's worse than Dakich. Don't give them clicks.
Both Travis and Dakich figured out that the BBN is easy to manipulate. Any time you need clicks or views, just troll UK fans and we’ll give you exactly what you want. They don’t care if we bash them (in fact, they like it), instead they only care if we’re giving attention.
If we want them to stop, we should start ignoring them. Don’t start threads about them. Don’t post their links. Act like they don’t exist.
But, unfortunately, we never learn. We take the bait every damn time.

But the guys on this show are too and it has nothing to do with hating UK.
So they said something that was untrue? If so, what was it?
Man we gotta nail this AD hire BAD. People talk about Pope not connecting with recruits. What about Barnhart with coaches? And the fact Cal HATED him. We need a good AD that can connect with a good coach and sell UK.

I don't know if I fall into that category or not. Before I condemn Pope I am going to at least let him start coaching the upcoming season. There are alot of unknowns but what I do know is that college basketball talking heads are desperate for clicks in May, and trolling BBN is the easiest way to make it happen.
Clay might hate UK but there was zero hate towards UK in that conversation. Unfortunately everything they said is completely true and warranted.
There is no "we." UK fans are not a symbiotic organism or a hive mind. Some of our fans, like any other fanbase, have IQs close to zero. They will never learn because they are mentally incapable of doing so. Others have nothing to learn. Some grow up and get better.
Every fanbase is exactly the same. Ours is just larger than most.
I’m still just in awe at how anyone in a fanbase like this hasn’t been kicking and screaming to get him out of that seat this has been more than obvious. I really think if you made excuses for it you should pretty much be embarrased.

The sad thing is that UK administration is not in a place to do anything about this. We have diagnosed the problem but we are unwilling to fix it until next year (if we are lucky).

people all jump on a bandwagon. if vocal Kentucky fans are vocal it's gonna appeal to the ones in the media to be vocal for clicks. I don't give them nobodies a listen. pope should have hired an ad and an assistant coach by now. stubbornness has probably done him in. also niceness due to substitution patterns. he's a decent coach but recruiting is going to probably be why we find someone new.
UK had 14 of the top HS seniors visit not portal players. As of yesterday UK had the 12th best portal class.
Giving Pope one last chance because we have no good alternatives but being critical of results (or lack thereof) this offseason is the most rational position IMO. So if you fall into that category, no beef. I think the irrational ones are the ones who think this current roster, as it stands now, will be some surefire final 4 team and that Pope has made all the right moves this offseason.
