Pope's third straight season with a roster filled with role players.

And some of you think the results will change? You optimistic fans enable the destruction of our program. You're the same ones who were still optimistic about Cal at the end and Tubby at the end of his tenure here.
For gods sake, no one is happy about this but some of us are rational. We know Pope is going to be the coach next season not matter how much some of you whine. So we will try to support our team until there can be a change in coaches.

Oh I get it. I'm just not going to give my daughter the nod of approval when she brings home the heroine user ex convict because he recently joined a Bible study.

Pretending that it's all going to be fine just because that's "what good fans do" isn't going to cut it in the world of reality. I'm not going to pretend that this upcoming roster is anything more than it is (22-12 type talent...again) just so I can earn my "I'm a good little fan" merit badge.

I don't think any stars are left after Stefan was out.
There are more out there imo but admittedly a different type. The 20+ year old draft and stash type guy in the 2nd round of the NBA draft that would be better off with NIL than the money they’re making in Europe.

Star in the sense they can be in our top 4 players is what I mean. Not necessarily that they’re a top 10 pick or something.

You must be looking in the mirror again. Negativity brings nothing good into the world. It’s okay to be upset with the situation, to want change and to voice your opinion especially on a message board. Whereas spewing nothing but hatred and constant negativity at every opportunity is not normal and is a recipe for a miserable life, typically it’s an underlying issue bigger than surface level.

TLDR version when all you do is complain things will never get better, you have to let yourself also see positives in life. If you try it you might actually like it.
You are wasting your breath on that boy Rain. He is something.

You ever think Harris said no thanks when we reached out way back when he first entered the portal? It’s kind of obvious, you can want a player but that doesn’t mean the player wants us.
That is probably what happened. It's no different than coaches who are not interested in coaching here.
People have to be interested in being here before anything meaningful can begin to take place.

Well, they didn’t give up on stokes even though he obviously didn’t want to come here. So why not keep trying Harris?

What facts? That we have a roster filled with G-League level role players for the third straight year?
The FACT that Pope is going to be the coach next year. No one has said this team is what we expect but it will be our team. That’s a FACT.

That’s 100% what happened and we tried two times with McNeil. Do people really think we just didn’t go after those type guys? That’s delusion.

Any idea why they turned us down? It can’t be the lack of money unless Pope held it all back for stokes?

They didn’t just turn us down, they turned down 20+ other schools too. Playing at Kentucky isn’t for everybody. I’ve been saying that for years now, you are under a spotlight and face scrutiny not just for every play but also everything you do everyday. 98% of other colleges aren’t like that and a lot of kids can’t handle that in today’s generation.

They came here when Cal was here. I think it's that many don't want to play for a coach like Pope.

So what? Pope will be the coach. I get it. But being "supportive" doesn't mean I have to only post pie in the sky posts about this team's potential.

It's another poorly constructed team. Two years in a row. I'll continue to piss and moan about what he has done to the program until he leaves.

So Pope travelled halfway around the world to a war zone for this guy, yet still might lose out to a coach who stayed home sitting on the couch?

im just saying, that’s not a height to be worried about in the NCAA at center, especially for a backup C.

I actually like this addition as he may push some people around after Moreno gets taken out. Or if you need more finesse, you go with Potter.
Potter shot 43% from 3 at Miami of Ohio, there has to be some way to fit him in to the rotation, most people on this board see him as never going to play.

You guys really need to out posters like Saul and Richie on ignore. It's a much better place here when you do, I promise.

The issue is that this roster has ZERO needle movers and three "maybe could be good this year" guys in Moreno. N'Diaye and Wilkins.

Diallo was a backup plan. Hawthorne is a string bean who isn't going to suddenly be Tayshaun Part 2. Williams is one-dimensional and massively easy to scout. McBride is a mid-major level player who's been touted as a "better version of Ansley Almonor." N'Diaye is, at best, a 12 and 6 guy.

Who will score for Kentucky next year? We lose Oweh, Chandler and Aberdeen and replace them with three guards who are not as good.

At present, this is a 22-12 type team.
Yes, Sir Pope will hit his spot of 63% or below. I mean what do we expect for 5 million a year a final four or a Championship? We aren't getting it with this clown. Just another year wasted that makes about 10 in a row (when you count next year) since we even had a chance with that Fox, Monk and Bam team. That was our last legit shot at anything!

Yeah I agree. I understand wanting another big though because if Moreno gets two fouls in the first 4 minutes, we need a couple guys to share the load.

Ndiaye and McBride could probably play some together too at the 4 & 5.
