How far could a team go with the #1 player out of high school AND the guy ranked #1 in the transfer portal after the season?

That was Kansas last year, with Darryn Peterson and Flory Bidunga -- not to mention a bunch of other highly regarded recruits and transfers.

The Jailhawks made the same round of 32 as Kentucky did without Jaland Lowe, Jayden Quaintance and with Kam Williams banged up. We'll see how far Stokes, who hasn't frankly looked all that quick or remarkable t me in all these all star games, takes them.

Pope has a lot of work to do, but what happened in the Stokes recruitment doesn't bother me much, as long as the $7 million or so it freed up is used wisely.

LOL at Pope using the money wisely. What top players want to play for him?

I'd say the range of outcomes is between a total meltdown and a Championship.

There is no magic formula.
Correct, no roster building formula. Winners do end up putting multiple guys in the NBA though (4+ preferred), so that's something to watch out for. Of course, this board thinks every player we have is going to be an NBA All-Star but I only see 1 right now on this squad.

Since you apparently watch Kansas, how many games did they just quit in?
