Why does CMP attract so many coaches, media members, and players that seem to want to mess with him? We’ve seen coaches taunt the man. Something is seriously wrong with them that he attracts so much ire from his peers.
Because everyone wants to punch up at Kentucky, and since he's a feckless pushover it's the perfect time to do it. Do you think the Florida stalker would be constantly talking about how many minutes they led by if we had a real coach and roster that was dominating cbb?

I'm not gonna cry. I think we wanted a highly rated player because he was highly rated. But I truly believe Stokes makes those around him worse, he's a ball hog shoot anything kind of player. And is not known for his Defense. I think we are better for whiffing on who could be the next Rodrick Rhodes.

If you are a Nike school and you had sold your soul to the number one player in America and he chooses an Adidas shoe for the same amount money or less, then Nike needs to revaluate their programs coaching choices.

And then do what?

Nike doesn’t have the power to fire our coach.

**** this assclown.

Made a mockery of Rupp while in bed with KU.

I hope someone steps up to the plate and shuts him down when we play
The *** clown is our coaching staff for following him around like a lost puppy. All the time knowing damned well they had no shot while other top recruits would’ve played here went elsewhere. This is a fireable offense of neglect and he should’ve honestly been gone at seasons end.

Ah, another deflection for a coaching staff that is now starting to smell like rotting fish.

So how did that same staff do with Collins, Holt, Rippey, Stokes, Branch, Smith, Crowe, Thompson, Kinney, Howard, Peterson, Ament, Cenac, Wilson, Yessoufou, Brown, Lewis, and Mullins?

Did they land any of those guys?
Might have but they focused on the unattainable. Many in the class didn't want to play alongside Stokes.

Pope is not cut out for the NIL era. At all. Everybody can get similar money, sometimes more, elsewhere and these kids obviously do not vibe with him. He is only ever going to be able to get guys who have fewer options than the elite players. UK has to get rid of him after this season. Only thing that could change things is if they somehow do away with NIL.

If true, it's not the least bit surprising. Self is probably the scummiest guy in college ball. K, or his staff, was almost as bad too. Remember when that one kid was toying with us about 10 yrs ago? Followed about a bunch of UK players, including Brad, the day before picking Duke. I doubt he came up with that on his own.

No doubt, he's not a good dude.
You mean a dude that changed his announcement date twice (due to leaks), scover his own brand deal (Nike), and shows up it his announcement wearing bling and shades like a celebrity is a self centered little twit?

You don’t say. he may be a great player but yeah, I’m glad in a way we didn’t get him. 1. Pope can’t handle a dude like that. I don’t think Self can tbh. 2. That’s a locker room problem waiting to happen.

Thats a beautiful, beautiful story. I’m sure this just amplifies the impact and resonance of this young mans journey. UK will be better and We will play better, and we can play better in the future.
Extreme gratitude. I can feel levels of gratitude that have never been seen before, especially on this journey toward finding the assignment. Because this is just a starting point, and the lessons we learn will make us better. They have to. And they will with this incredible Ferrari we have on order from the dealership. When it gets delivered, you'll see! And I'll bring my mentor Mark Fox around and let him test that beautiful Ferrari out too.

I think we dodged a bullet in more ways than one.

He would be even more screwed because then it’s all up to the coach, he can at least offer more money to most guys lol.

I still don’t get what the kid’s motive was to play us like this.

Was it just to be an as*hole?
This says more about Stokes than it does UK’s staff. What a piece of ****, low life Stokes is.

I would sue him to at least make life uncomfortable for him. Force him to pay back all costs for his recruiting visit.

Do you really think Pope would have continued had he known?
Not a chance, but the Pope bashing squad has to stick to their agenda. I do wish Pope had moved on a while ago and focused on other players, but for whatever reason, he believed he had a chance of getting Stokes. I'm happy we didn't get him, I do think he would have been another cancer to the team, but I wish Pope gad made the decision to stop trying to get him.

Just used KY for the 💰
that is a strategy that can work both ways though. I doubt Kansas has much money left to spend on any high quality player now.

I'm not saying Pope did this, I'm sure he didn't, but as Kentucky, you could string a player like Stokes along to drive up his price without ever having the intention of taking him, and then being able to land players you need after he signs. Kansas was going to match whatever Kentucky was offering.

Use that to your advantage.
