Jeez, the amount of people on the internet coping and outright dogging on the coach who hasn’t been here for nearly three years as they look for every excuse to make Mark Pope look good. The man for all his faults lead us to a title with multiple final fours to boot. Pope has done NOTHING for you or this program.

Why some fans are treating Pope like he’s ultimate foil for Cal is driving me insane. I don’t care about what Cal is doing, I don’t care that he sucked the last few years. Mark Pope is destroying us, now, at this freaking moment and time. Cal can’t hurt you anymore, but Pope can and is.

The sky is falling chicken little. Let's see how this plays out. The first year exceeded expectations. Last year was brutal. This is a make or break year. Recruiting can be fixed with the right staff in place. He got rid of the dead weight. Every player Jason Hart or Alvin Brooks recruited went elsewhere.

losing 13 games is not exceeding expectations. WTF is wrong with you? Now expectations when Robinson went down his second time and how the team played the last month with all the injuries it exceeded how we thought that would be a train wreck and it turned out better than a train wreck but still wasnt UK level expectations for the year

Most of us couldn't care less about Cal. It's just you Arkansas fans trolling this board that keep bringing his name up.

He could recruit, but couldn't coach a lick. He also mocks the school and fan base where he works.

That’s not sucking. UK was a destination. It’s not now.

It was time for Cal to go. Pope was the wrong replacement.

Wow Cal won one championship back in 2012 blew one in 2015 with most likely one of the most talented teams in history and did what his last 5 years at UK, it was time for Cal to go, and Cal knew it, why do you think he contacted Arkansas.

Who on here is showing to be a huge Pope fan? There might be several that say he is going to be here next year regardless so let’s support him, but that doesn’t mean they want him here. Until that idiot Barnhart makes a move we are stuck with Pope.

Cal is the same coach he was when he was here gets really good young players and doesn’t do anything with them.

Arkansas’s previous coach will end up being more successful than Cal ever will there.

nobody is blinded. Pope was the wrong hire, but Cal isn’t missed.

Funny that Arkansas fans all of a sudden, love these sweet 16s. That doesn’t really cut it here.

Yeah I agree, Calipari was never going to move the needle. It was time for a change. Pope has a year to figure it out and if we don’t make vast improvement it is time for a change. I will wait and see how it plays out.

Didn't Cal end up in the NIT in 2013?

Didn't Cal completely miss all tournaments just 5 years ago, after coaching a team with 3 NBA talents, to the worst season in UK history?

What coach holds the title for the 2 worst NCAAT losses in UK history and in those losses, didn't said coach have a massive talent advantage?

pope didn't do well last year. if he don't this year he'll be gone. I'm sick of cal fans crying about us bashing their boy. one tourney win in 5 years with loads of NBA talent. we aren't getting great results but maybe we won't have no injuries next year. one thing he can't do is be nice and give players playing time just out of being nice aka Jasper garrison last year
