Just an FYI: teams don’t use their best starters in midweek games.
At this point, I would prefer that not to be the case.

if you can’t understand it I don’t know what to tell you dude. They are a great program and beating UNC is obviously incredibly meaningful.
What are yall talking about? He used 3 of his top 6 pitchers to start the game. Nobody is being more aggressive than that for a midweek game.
But why not when we don’t have an opponent of real quality until Duke on May 3rd (barely) or Pitt on May 8th?

DeCaro would be on shorter rest than he’s been on at any point this year. Maybe he could have pitched, it’s perfectly valid not to start him. Why change his routine coming off his best start of the season for a midweek game? Nobody coaches like that in college baseball.
I have said this before with Matty. He is either on or not. When he is on, he is great. When he’s not, we get tonight. Whoever the coach is in the bullpen or the bullpen catcher can tell if the cutter is working before he comes in. Radio to Forbes and let him know.
Embarrassing. Market a $1 hot dog and then run out in the 3rd inning. So small time.
I can’t believe I’ve lived long enough to see a coach criticized for not using his Friday night starter in the 6th inning of a midweek game.
Felt like we had a better chance at Omaha last year. The offense will eventually crater this team
Coastal didn’t use theirs either. They just beat us by hitting
I swear some people never check out midweek baseball scores around the country. We probably are the only P4 school without a midweek loss to this point.

That’s less than one per person. If you’re expecting a real crowd you gotta have at least 10k

Normally I just shrug my shoulders at a loss, but this time of year, so close to the postseason, and getting our rear ends handed to us, isn’t great. I’m not sure how anyone can sugarcoat this loss. Coastal stepped up, while we have stunk it up. Other than Saturday, our offense has been anemic the last four games.
And those losses are generally not to top-ten national runners-up
I joined late but a lot of posters I haven’t seen before tonight. Is this the way you old heads felt when I started posting? 
We all know how good Coastal is. The problem is, we don’t even look competitive out there. 9-2 is BAD. Pitt has been playing really well lately. If our bats don’t wake up, I’m officially concerned about that series.
Coastal Carolina did, of course.
That doesn’t justify not making plays on fly balls that should be caught, not getting outs on bunts (what is that, 4 now?), and cycling through relievers 5 pitches at a time because nobody can get an out.
It’s ok for our fans to expect our team to at least be competitive in a game like this, and not to have to throw Jason DeCaro to do it.
Y’all need to relax. This is one game. Coastal is a good team.

Our season literally ended because of bad bunt defense last year, and it doesn’t seem like we got it figured out a year later. When the other team sac bunts, a good D1 team should get an out 90% of the time.
