What I am not going to do is sit around and cry all season last year or already roll up the white flag on this season in April like you are. You can whine and cry all you like, but the fact remains that we are one good SF away from having a good basketball team and there are a lot of really good kids out there still. But no matter who we get or how good he is Pope can’t coach him.
He’s going to run zoom because it’s the easiest offense to teach and players want to play it. He’s not going to play defense or even attempt to play defense.
A Pope team is not going to rebound. Or learn to rebound.
If the players just ignore Pope and start cooking on their own he will sub them out.
He has absolutely no game feel. He will win some games sometimes when he shouldn’t because when he doesn’t know what he’s doing the opponents can’t figure it out either.
