this may not be a bad thing. Pope has dug himself a hole now. Next year may be his last. I think UK backs up the Brinks truck and tries to land Donovan.
Stokes is a high school senior and the best classy thing we can do is not bad mouth the kid and let Pope's inability to recruit be our frustration. I hope the kid has a great future and if we face Kansas I hope we kick his and Kansas butt to the curb. We need to hope Pope can find a couple more kids that are actually starter level talent.

Played Pope and staff like a fiddle. Insane how bad of a coach we have. Nike money couldn’t get him. Trying to hire everybody besides Stokes mom and couldn’t get him

Pope will get 1 more year. If he does well this season, he’ll get another year. If he doesn’t, we’ll be looking at a new coach. It’s not the end of the world either way.

How is it possible to know if Kansas does not have any money left? Where do we look to see how much money schools have left? Does Louisville, Florida, Tennessee, or Vandy have any if so how much do they each have?

This is where I'm at. We'll have to suffer through next season but that'll be it. At that point put a package together for Donovan and if he's still flakey and says no, offer Jai Lucas. Everyone, including Pope, knew he had to deliver with this class and he's failed.

I was one of the people who wanted Stokes but I don't think Pope could handle Stokes drama/personality. So I questioned that.
