The meltdown over a kid that hasn’t played a single minute of college basketball in an era where it has been proven that freshman will not carry, but simply be a complimentary piece on truly elite teams is insane. Pope F’d up by pursuing a kid that blatantly said “I do not want to play for UK”. The only thing we can do now is hope staff is competent enough (I have my doubts) to take literally every cent of NIL money we have left and pour it into projected lottery euro talents and Milan at the SF spot.

The opposite. Kansas will catch us this year. Which will honestly be low key hysterical to see. It will be another black eye for Pope, this place will go nuclear and it will just be another indictment on how bad Mitch, Eli and the rest of this organization have been. We dont deserve to be #1 in wins for what we did the last 20-30 years. Cal is the only reason Kansas didnt pass us like 5 years ago (Cals last few years also HELPED Kansas close the gap)

This kid is 100% gonna play when he feels like it just like Peterson. But our coach can’t land anybody with a pulse. Somebody please with some balls, sense and clout make Billy Donovan an offer he can’t refuse today.

This just shows how pathetic Pope is. The top guy in the nation is signed to Nike, Nike is even pushing the kid to UK and willing to pay his NIL and he STILL goes to an Adidas school.
