McBride is a backup 4. Why would that have any bearing whatsoever on Stokes? Granted, I don't think we get TS, but the logic just doesn't follow.

That said, let Self have him. This recruitment has been about as fun as shitting a box of roofing nails and I'm ready for the saga of an entire fanbase himming and hawing over the whims of a teenaged drama queen to be over.

Or they know Stokes is coming and his announcement is going to get all of the news, and McBride would be swept under the rug no matter what day he announced after Stokes. At least he gets a little recognition this way.

I mentioned UK doing something like this earlier and it would be poetic. I was being funny. In no reality would I think UK would ever actually do it. No way did they try to soften Stokes with another kid, that would be extremely poor tastes and ever worse marketing.
