Glad you feel the need to inform us of your Swarm membership! Again, not sure what more you want Iowa to do. Yes, we would all like to have CC back and be in the championship game. Before CC we made 1 Elite 8 under Bluder and then we lost that game by 30. We made the 2 championship games with CC and basically a roster of 3 star players. We've rarely recruited "elite players." Rarely. Now we're bringing in a top 5-10 player by all accounts. We've done everything possible to build a very strong women's bball program. Great support from the University, the community and everyone else involved. If kids don't want to come here and play it's nobody's fault. It wasn't Bluder's fault, it's not Jan's fault and it's not the fans fault. We had a once in a lifetime player ( from Iowa, or she wouldn't have come here) and growing up her dream school wasn't even Iowa it was Notre Dame. We're now up to 9 really really good players. And whether you want to admit it or not the roster is stronger than last year. Much stronger. Oh, and yes, we will end up with at least 12 players. And very rarely will anyone after the top 9 ever really play. And you're not looking for information. You come on here almost every day, sometimes more, to ***** about why we haven't signed a complete roster yet. You're tiresome. Of course it's fair to question when things are bad but after going 27-7 and then already being forecasted NEXT YEAR as a 2 seed I'm just not sure what you're looking for?

My opinion is that the Iowa program isn't "far from being a top 8 program" or "Indianaish" as you stated.
My opinion is that fans shouldn't freak out and whine and complain over who is going to fill spots 9-11 on a roster or who else is signing a player without considering the makeup of each roster. Only a simpleton does that. But have at it superfan.

I am a pledge in the butt patting Frat house. Otherwise I have to wait like 10 more years till I can't read and think. Wait a minute..... is that it here?

Ya know. Maybe you're right, and we're all wrong. We all want to believe that Iowa is a top 10 women's basketball program and is destined to be a top 10 team next year. Many of us believe that this roster is much improved. You seem to believe otherwise and that Iowa has by and large failed at strengthening the roster. You've stated that Iowa is more like Indiana. Maybe if you could provide all of us with some data or a cogent argument as to why we're all wrong and you're right, we could join your club instead.
So I said since the beginning that this roster would be better than last year. Ava and Hayes with another year. Yes Hayes needs to improve, but every big has usually improved in our system the second year. I think she will look much more comfortable out there. Having a true shooting guard in Carnegie will take a ton of pressure off the post. Right now what we have in Wolizcko is the only question I have, but the way she has been performing in these all star tournaments, rebounding, distributing the ball and able to put up some buckets looks pretty good that she will be able to adjust to the next level - remember Deal struggled in many of these games last year. So Omahawk can piss in his own cheerios saying we don't know how they will do, but it does look like the athleticism and the scoring ability will be improved. Then it will come down to can we gel defensively. I am cautiously optimistic this will be a really good team. We have 9 players that will likely play 95% of the minutes.
