Go on record now: Would you prefer Kentucky sign Tyran Stokes, or...

... two from the list of Milan Momcilovic, Juke Harris, Allen Graves or Tounde Yessoufou -- or players of equal value, for the same money.

Put me down for two proven, experienced college stars...(I know some will say 'Kentucky's not getting anyone.' But money talks and the Stokes bag of cash will flow somewhere useful if not to him. Kentucky can make an offer more attractive than being taken in the second round of the NBA draft to the right person.)

I saw where Darryn Peterson, last year's No. 1 high school recruit, got Kansas: The same round as Kentucky. Pretty much the same with Darius Acuff for Arkansas and Caleb Wilson for UNC-CHeats, and all three are projected NBA top 5 picks.

If Stokes picks Kentucky, my excitement will eclipse my concerns, at least for now. But I'd be more excited with two guys from that list above - or the equivalent.
I’d rather have 2 of those 4 you listed . BYU and Kansas each had a top 5 freshman and didn’t win anything.

Meh dont care. Pope could certainly use some elite talent, but what will he do with it? And also Stokes seems like a Diva. I suspect he wont make much of a difference in the end.

From that list, Graves and Harris for me. Both strong 2 way players. Back fill the bench with a couple of shooters.

Staff is focused on Reclass candidates, Euros and Foreign players and Milan. The Morton boom will come but it doesn't move the needle, he will be a 12-15 minutes a game guy hopefully.

Graves seems to me like a much better fit than Milan. Do you have any insight into why they're not thinking about Graves?

The latter. I don't think Stokes is talented enough to be a savior for this program.

I don't see this as an either or deal. We need talent so obviously I would take the 2 players. That said realistically Stokes is the only one of the group that seems interested in us so I take him. From what I have seen of him so far he is a very cold calculating kid. I don't think he comes here as KU is the "cooler option. Hope I am wrong. His past statements about our coaching staff are also concerning.

On the floor it wouldn’t be just Stokes. There would also be another guy. Those other two guys take up two spots so just because you recruit two over one you still are playing 5. Add the stats of two vs two when game time stats. Not two vs one. Please don’t make me type the whole thing as I’m at a pub on my phone.

the correct answer is we want the player that is deciding at 6:30 today and act excited about it

if he doesn't choose us, then we get excited about other option
Not true. If its one or the other I would always take Momcilovic and I will still say that if we get Stokes. Stokes is a great talent but if you look up primadonna his picture will pop up

At this point the main reason I want Stokes is it might help us land Crawford. He could really help us recruiting and would be a longer lasting benefit than a year from any player.

Either Pope knows he has him and that’s why he has spent the whole week going full send on 2027 players

or.

Pope knows he doesn’t have him and is going full send on 2027 players trying to get a reclass.

Stokes. Those players aren't on his level. UK needs some juice. People don't understand even if he sits the bench half the year like Peterson he's going to bring more attention and future help for UK than any of those guys ever could.

Stokes is big for perception.
