Very interesting. I don’t think Jason would come out of the pen. If he was going to pitch, I think he’d start. Rose has been used out of the pen before, so if Jason had started I think Rose would have come in.

I guess we are looking at Rose, McDuffie and Vulture. Boaz could also see work but I don’t know a good scenario where that would occur.

I won't be shocked if DeCaro starts tomorrow instead of today. And then still have Lynch/Glauber ready on Sunday.

Before anyone jumps me for suggesting DeCaro may start tomorrow, obviously I get it that Queens is nowhere near as good as Coastal. But with Coastal trending towards hosting a regional and being a real contender, there's a legitimate chance we could face them in a Super Regional or even in Omaha. So I'm just not sure we want them to get a regular season look at DeCaro.

I agree. I also think there is a chance both DeCaro and Lynch pitch tomorrow, based on something Scott said after the final dook game, He mentioned not wanting DeCaro getting too much rest between starts, which is why there was speculation he might pitch tonight. That logic also applies to Lynch. If both are limited to ~50 pitches against Queens, they would be available to pitch again Sunday.

Weather can change quickly but there's no guarantee there's a game tomorrow for DeCaro to pitch with the current forecast.

Take away the beating Wake put on him two weeks ago, and Smallets has a 2,10 ERA. However, as with a lot of pitchers we have faced recently, his walk total is fairly high, averaging over 5 per 9 IP.

damn, was really hoping we were going up against Cameron Flukey. Really wanted to watch him pitch, even tho id be hoping he would get rocked. Anyways, looking forward to this game

I honestly didn’t even think about that, but what you said mates complete sense. Coastal seems to really be turning things around. It would be a great Super Regional.

Think it's a great idea to give Rose a chance to start against a quality team. Good practice for the cws where all the teams are high quality

I’ve watched a few Coastal games this year. Good but not overly impressed with them, I’m sure they will play their best tonight. ;)
