Pope may need to quit now

Stokes doesn't fix this team. He may be very good, but Pope needs answers across the board on this team. He has to get two ball dominant guards to play together, and we saw last year how players were looking to get theirs more often than not. Oweh and Aberdeen, chiefly.
Players can only do so much. The problem isn’t the players. It’s the incompetence of the head coach. Aren’t you listening? He has no vision, he has no plan, his offensive philosophy is putrid. It’s like trying to get a blind man to drive on the highway. He has no idea what direction to go. It was a desperate hire by a terrible AD. The BOT should step in and remove both of them tomorrow and hire Bruce Pearl on an interim basis. Or if Donovan wants it then hire him. I just can’t imagine gearing up for the season with this GD loser we have now. It’s like trying to get excited about having an enema.

I agree. Another coach could have worked better with last year's roster. Pope is a broken figure. He has no answers, only squints

It’s actually worse for pope if he gets stokes as expectations will be higher than without. Pope cannot effectively coach stokes however so all it will do is expose pope that much more (if that’s even possible). Stokes and pope is an oil and water mixture.

I think this disappoint man it’s kind of clear that Pope has thrown in the towel. I mean he’s put everything on Stokes literally when it comes to his coaching career. And Stokes isn’t coming to Kentucky not as long as Mark Pope’s there. And now with the investigation into Barney’s golden parachute that’s gonna open a lot of freaking other things and some people are right there. There’s there’s nobody that can make the decision make the call. We have a lot of former players that can step in and say look, this is what you have to do dude they say it quietly behind us back anyway if you read the Derek Anderson article. A lot of of them are salty at the fact that he’s a terrible coach and other Kentucky former players didn’t get the shot. It’s created division. It’s time to fix it and pull piece pretty much signal he quit. He didn’t get Freeman and he went into depression and that’s the problem with this guy. He something bad happens and he doesn’t bounce back fast. He does have some psychological block. He’s gotta deal with.
Then why hasn’t Stokes committed elsewhere?

He's using UK for leverage. Playbook 101 these days. Hat on the table. I'll bet any amount of money he doesn't commit here.
If KU was Nike it's already over. This is all a PR stunt. No program draws eyes or gets clicks like UK. Glad u have faith and I do too, but it's in the good Lord above not Mark Pope's recruiting acumen.

Did KU say they would revise the shoe contract so he could wear Nike

No one wants to play for him. He’s mocked by recruits. And he’s gonna have a hard time filling out his roster with Kentucky Level players. He could quit now save face, and we can either go for Pitino or possibly a Bruce Pearl or we go with a interim coach for a year I don’t know, but I don’t see pope putting together a team. It may be a massive calamity if he if he sticks around is newer generation doesn’t know who the hell he is and a lot of people they just don’t like him. Best play we can make make it just bounce. Give us some time to get a coach. The right coach. It’s pretty evident popes‘s not gonna have a team to compete like Kentucky should
You need a mental evaluation. Good luck!
