Huge Matchup coming up this evening at 6:30. 16-3 ( 9-1 ) East Rowan will take on 17-1 ( 9-1) South Rowan. Battle for 1st place in SPC 4A/5A conference. Wish I could be there.

East Rowan 6 South Rowan 4
Turned out to be a very good game. East had their best pitcher in Harrison Ailshie. South Rowan had their chances. Bases loaded two differents innings. Pitcher Ailshie held South from scoring to either tie or take the lead. South will have their chance when East comes to Raiders of South Rowan on 4/17.

Im here at the South Rowan vs East Rowan game. Got off work and by time I got to the school and found a place to park it was start of 3rd inning. But they let me in free. ER was up 4-0 but now it’s 4-2 in top of 4th. Big crowd here.

So I left starting bottom of 7th. Score was 7-3. When I got home SR made a good run but lost 7-5. Good game. My observation. South Rowan is good but definitely not the SR of 2022 when they won the 3A State Championship title. But I believe SR can make a good run in the 4A playoffs. East Rowan is good but not quite the ER of 2024 when they won the 3A Stated Championship title. But I do believe that ER has the ingredients to make a deep run in the 5A playoffs. One thing I found out East Rowan not only has a good pitcher Harrison Ailshie who is their Ace pitcher but he has a younger brother who is a sophomore. He is a big guy. Both are good pitchers.
On the bright side South Rowan girls won 4-3 over East Rowan to go 16-1 and undefeated in conference.

Big upset win over West Rowan. With this loss West Rowan is tied for 2nd place in conference with South Rowan.

Legion Collegiate Academy 9 East Rowan 6 ( 8 ) LCA knocks off power East Rowan in extra innings. LCA must not be a bad team to beat good ER team.

I definitely think TCR will cause some issues for teams in the playoffs. Pitching is nowhere near as strong as last year but a deep group of hitters. Junior heavy team as well so if they make a deep run this year, they should really make some noise next year. I believe they only have three seniors on the team, 2 start consistently and the third gets mixed in to throw some innings once or twice a week for them.

I think 4a is very top heavy. Very good teams at the top, but the bottom won't be upsetting anyone most likely.

Favorites IMO: Lincoln Charter, Burns & South Rowan.
2nd tier: Lake Norman Charter, Pisgah, Brevard.
Right on the edge/maybe 2nd tier: St. Cramer, New-Conover.

Maybe could make some noise: Hibriten, Tuscola, RS Central.
Linc. Charter has played as tough a schedule for single games as anybody in the state. Little different if you have to see teams twice with pitching...but still think they can make noise if their pitching comes through.

5A has 10 plus legit potential contenders for the western finals.

I don’t keep up with it that much but was looking at West Stanly and Randleman being in the East and saying a lot of 4A teams could win the entire thing. Definitely not as familiar with the 5A teams in the East.
