Pope, was a great player and he works hard but he is being humbled by the field. He is gone after this season for sure. Next year some big hire needs to start to bring the program back to prominence,

It's not hard to do better than Pope. Is Cal doing what May and Golden are doing? Because that's what he's getting paid to do.
Are you referring to the recruit Pope tried to recruit in the 11th hour? I wouldn’t call that Cal owning Pope, I would just call it more utter incompetency from Pope. You are correct that he will be gone after next season.

BTW, Pope has won 3 times as many ncaa games in 2 years as Cal did his last four. And he’s won one more in 2 years at Arkansas with 10 times the talent and is 1-1 head to head. The difference is, we know our guy is failing.

There are no championships for recruiting and the last time I checked, Cal is 1-1 vs Kentucky on the court and lost in his best year at Arkansas to Pope in his worst year here.

All those final 4's and NCAA Championships that Cal is taking Arkansas too......... Wait nevermind..... I bet they love the biggest night of the season that's getting ready to happen soon...
Cal will retire from Arkansas without ever going to a final four, Arkansas fans will end up hating him because they’ll realize he did nothing for the program and he will spend his twilight years coming back to Lexington to get standing ovations at ball games he has nothing to do with.

Acuff was a tremendous talent. Cal will not look so great without him next season.
