Jack Bauer is the future. I would not be surprised if he is not a starter in the post season. Maybe even before. Getting that guy on campus was huge.
I hadn't actually seen him pitch until Saturday, and even then only for a little more than an inning. But he really is what he was advertised to be. And he surprised me by how far he could go. Went almost 4 innings and 60 pitches and looked like he was fresh and throwing effortlessly right up till the end.

Definitely will be a hell of an asset when he gets dialed in and gets game experience. Triple digit speed from the left side is something these opposing batters have never seen and may never again when not playing MSU.

I forget what his count was Saturday, I Wish he had full availability for Tuesday.

I remember after his rough start to the season, saying that I hoped he could reach a point where he could help us for an inning or so in the postseason. I really didn't expect it this year.

Great coaching job and effort by him. He makes throwing a ball 100 mph look easier than just about anybody I've ever seen.

LSU fan I go to church with told me this morning BOC scares him and a lot of LSU fans. They are having a bad year, but he thinks we are about to go on a run. He is also pissed they are dropping money on women’s and men’s basketball haha
We all hope he is right. Our baseball program deserves multiple national titles. Hopefully we can get there No one puts more into a college baseball program than MSU.

I really like the ability to use him like we did Saturday in the postseason. Of course, thats pending getting McPherson back.
Being able to have 24 on the bump in long relief when needed like Girodo would be huge.

He has an incredibly "live arm". You don't see that very often. Last pitcher I remember who could throw effortlessly like that was Donnie Robinson from Iuka, MS back in 1974. That was Polk's first year, and he dialed in to recruit Donnie as the pitcher that he'd build his staff around. I knew Donnie personally, as I played against him several times. I even broke up his no-hitter against my high school team. He was kind of pissed at me for a long time for doing that. Donnie was a total sidewinder, and Jack Bauer has that bull-whipping arm action also, but a little more 3/4 delivery. On Saturday even when Jack was tiring a little, his fastball was still sitting around 96/97. Really hope we could keep him 3 years.
