Pope is not getting the job done. It's unacceptable, but this feels more like a UNC miss than a UK miss to me.
I hate to defend the Tar Holes, but they reportedly backed off him.
This isn't a rational criticism of Pope. He wasn't a fit for UK. It was obvious after we got Ndiaye that he was going to go elsewhere. I think UK got the better end of this.
And Cal beat us by 10 at Rupp the year before. Trying to throw any shade at Arkansas just makes you look ignorant. They are in a way better position than we are currently and it’s not even close. They out recruit us. Cal has a better record than Pope and a SEC tournament championship to boot. I think it’s probably more accurate that signing N’Diaye was a negative for us to Mikka.

Just because a kid allows you to recruit him or even takes a visit, doesn't mean that he EVER had any intentions of coming to your school and he really has no incentive to be honest about that during the recruiting process.

UNC hasn't been recruiting him. It's odd that anyone would say UNC is favored.
Mike Malone literally didn't recruit him. The staff at InsideCarolina confirmed that multiple times over the past 3 weeks. The previous staff did. Malone found out how much of headache Miikka is and shut down the recruitment.
It's weird how some of you guys get really bad recruiting intel, and then just accept it and run with it instead of doing a tiny bit of research.
For instance this thread is about Travis Branham putting in a crystal ball pick. There are several different avenues for you to ask Branham questions. He could have told you UNC was not a player in this recruitment.
You guys should maybe start listening to The Village Idiot more often. Sounds like he actually follows recruiting closer than many of you.
Ain’t gonna waste my time with people who will trash our program along with Arkansas fans. Also not going to waste my time with people who want to insult either. I’ve spent the year and a half ive been on this site being dead set against using the ignore feature but I found myself ending up very frustrated dealing with a lot of garbage. Your insult got you the next spot on there. Call it what you want but I don’t feel like spending my time on bad faith actors.

In this thread another poster said, "The more you defend him, the more we will be stuck in this mediocrity." I keep seeing similar quotes on this board. They are pretty much a daily occurrence.
You probably know this, but just to clarify, his dad, Kimmo, played at Arkansas - Little Rock, from the OVC, not Arkansas out of Fayetteville. (Travis Ford will be coaching there next season - at Little Rock)
Still, that would bode well for the coach at Arkansas, similar to a players dad playing at EKU or something.

On this board, you are not allowed to say that loud and outspoken “fans” on social media have a negative effect on the program, even though players, coaches, media members, and players’ families talk about their experience with this. You can’t say it because people get sensitive about you “blaming the fans.”
However, what you can do is say that anyone who isn’t whining 24-7 on an obscure message board is directly responsible for the program’s recent struggles. It’s said all the time on here and anyone saying it isn’t is full of it. I’ve even told someone who I respect and like on here that they are responsible (IMO) for largely pushing that narrative, which forces many of us who aren’t extremely negative towards the coach into either leaving the platform altogether, being quiet about our views, or becoming more extreme and antagonistic in response.
