Spencer dominated 1st period. 4-0. 3 step-outs and a shot clock point. Was in deep several times but got step-outs only from it.

In 2nd period, they were in a bit of a scramble. I thought Spencer was gonna get another step out point, but the ref had them keep wrestling. Luke eventually gained the upper hand and got a step-out as Spencer clearly hurt his lower arm. I wouldn’t be surprised if we learn Spencer broke his wrist or lower arm.

So now it’s 4-1 and Spencer is clearly wrestling less aggressively. Luke got a clean TD to make it 4-3. Luke was in on another, but Spencer got it to even and a restart with maybe 12 secs to go. On the restart, Luke threw a lefty headlock after a few seconds, got either a TD or exposure, and won 5-4.
Marcus Blaze beats Davino 4-1 (both got passivity points and then Blaze got a nice takedown)

And in the middle of all this, this clown is now taking the opportunity to tell us how Dreshawn Ross is winning the national championship this season, with zero wins against any of the others, and Merrill dominating Mason freaking Parris. 😂. I think this guy might actually be the real MSU158
Nah. He’d be saying Kueter is winning it all next year.

So Luke and Blaze will go to Final X and wrestle who ? Trying to figure this out
We don’t know yet. World team trials are in a few weeks. The winner there will face the guys who won here except for at 65kg, 79kg, 86kg, 92kg, and 97kg where we have a world medalist already sitting in final x

How did the ref influence that match? Because he put Davino on the clock twice? Blaze held center all match and took ground. It’s the only way it could’ve been called. That guy is an idiot

Man I wish PJ was competing. I would love to see him beat up on these guys
I mentioned earlier that one of the reasons MM didn’t go was to give the other guys a chance. I wonder if they made the same decision regarding PJ and Kasak. It’s possible the coaches didn’t want them both in the same weight class.

Maybe that was talked about with the red shirt decision?

Just my take, but it was Mitchell who decided to not go. I don't think it was much of a collective decision.
I so very much doubt the staff discussed with PJ the idea of not going because they wanted Kasak to have a path without PJ on it.
