As long as the starting times are more than 20 seconds apart.......he'll be fineInteresting that Bassett has the finals in SRs and R16 in U20s and they might be close in time.

Olympic Gold at age 22, another Gold four years later, three of his sport’s championships, and a reputation as one of hockey’s consummate players. Jax should be so lucky.Jax is obviously the Sidney Crosby of freestyle wrestling.
The seeding is almost BIG bad.Is it me or did Cunningham and Burton get very underseeded? Cunningham easily beat the 3 seed and Burton easily beat the one seed
A lot to like. He really liked that Jonesy tilt.David Evans was a 1x state placer (PIAA 4th). In 11th grade, he was majored by Baylor Shunk.
David came to Penn State. He took Beau and Kasak each to the brink (SV and TB) trying to make the starting lineup. Along the way he beat such notable wrestlers such as Composto, Cornella, and Koderhandt.
He graduated from Penn State and wrestled his 5th year for Utah Valley. He beat NCAA champ Valencia and 5th placer Lamer during the season and was the 9 seed at NCAAs. An upset loss (being thrown to his back and pinned while leading by 5) kept him from AA’ing.
He shows up at the U.S. Open as the 21 seed. Loses to Hardy 3-3 on criteria. Beats Arujau. Makes the consolation final and loses to former teammate Bartlett to take 4th.
I’ve followed his career because I like an underdog. Plus, he’s an exciting wrestler to watch; bever out of a match with his headlock. I wonder how many other 1x state placers, at 4th, with one varsity season and no AA finishes placed top 4 at the U.S. Open.
2What mat will the finals be one?
Thank you.
Evans was a significant under-the-radar prospect. I was thrilled when we landed him and said so at the time.I wonder how many other 1x state placers, at 4th, with one varsity season and no AA finishes placed top 4 at the U.S. Open.
Well you know what the kids say these days.. 9:19 is the new 9:00. At least i have some beers to keep me company while we wait.I think the U.S. Open has a different definition of 9:00pm Eastern than mine.
The seeding is almost BIG bad.
Seriously though the PIN ratings don't take folk into account at all so someone who misses a freestyle season due to injury or other reasons will be underseeded in the future. Someone who skips folk season and hits some freestyle events will be rewarded.
Spencer dominated 1st period. 4-0. 3 step-outs and a shot clock point. Was in deep several times but got step-outs only from it.Can someone please explain what happened? Not all of us are watching Flo. I had to come home last night so I missed all of today’s events.
Pretty easily indeed. Great match for Blaze.Blaze does it!! 4-1. He needs to get a td earlier because he is a monster on top. He turned Davino pretty easily but his head hit out of bounds so it was white paddled. He learned Ono’s gut it is just deadly with it
