"There is a phenomenon."

No kidding. And, in college baseball, with systems like TRAJECT, and a host of others, anyone who wants to learn an opposing player's pitching ensemble, and then sit on his fastball or his slider, can do it.

A first inning tater. My goodness. Who would have thought it?

In the modern era, one HR is no big deal. Two, however, is probably poor sequencing, which is more likely the responsibility of the pitching coach than the pitcher. If a team takes the trouble to time up a starter's pitches, it almost certainly has his preferred pitch sequence down pat too.

The first four innings of Game 1 of GaT at Carolina is a good example of just that fact.

By brushing that first inning off, Glauber proved that he is a not just a special talent, but also a gamer.

And that's what matters, when your team's bats are coming to help you.

I thought the pitching moves for the game yesterday were brilliant. Sets us up for the coming week and future series.

Grace’s article is fantastic writing also. It pops with life. Came here to be sure she hears that. IC’s coverage and her knowledge and writing, along with the team’s performance, have increased my attention to baseball. Thank you all.
