Why would he be a hell of a GM or Admin? He hasn’t been able to raise any $$ or bring any donors in, he clearly rubs people he works with the wrong way (Mytych,Seabass,Ashnault left on bad terms). he talks out of both sides of his mouth , i don’t see anything that screams top flight GM from goodales history
Whether it was Mytych or Pollard, either would be leaving on "bad" terms if they didnt want to go. The staff was upgraded with AA which is what was needed. And did AA truly leave on bad terms? I always felt he did, but he never stated as such. And look! It was so bad he decided to return! Seabass left because Donnie left. He may have made a few questionable remarks at departure but he was attached to Donnie.

Not comparing the two coaches, I’m saying with one guy we overlook the fact that he coached in high school.

Goodale was also named coach of the year in 2019 I be

Leonard instead of laughing what part do you not agree about? From my understanding the main roll of GM or Admin of a wrestling program is raising $$ and recruiting and obviously raising money has never been SG strong suit. I’m not knocking him that’s just the reality so far.
At most successful D1 programs, the job of the HC is to recruit and raise money. The top assistants run the practice.

Actually both AA and Seabass left unhappy. Scott to his credit eventually repaired the relationship with AA.

I'm laughing at this:

Based on what? Inside knowledge, supposition trying to read between the lines of Seabass' statements, or second hand/third hand information or rumors? As far as I know, no public statements came from either indicating as such. Just trying to understand the legitimacy of the displeasure being stated here.

Seabass was so mad that he trained with SKWC during his run to an Olympic medaly
You mean he trained with Donnie and Buxton. And was told they, Rutgers. would not wait for him to make a decision until after the Olympics when Donnie took the Columbia job, they hired Labriola, and sea bass verbalized in podcast what went down and his disappointment in a promise not kept. It’s not some secret can look it up. You guys have bad memories this isn’t a mystery.

Wrong, they had another position lined up for labriola and the spot was open for seabass. They hired labs as an asst coach when they couldn't wait on seabass anymore. He was never staying at RU with Donnie leaving.

B.S the agreement was to talk to Sebass after he got back from the Olympics, that didn't happen. They then offered him a recruiting position. Pretty insulting to a World silver and Bronze Olympic medalist.

If Goodale didn’t wait until Rivera returned from Paris to discuss the job opportunity, it was disrespectful and classless. If true, it seems that Goodale, panicked.

We had the chance to have a World silver medalist, Olympic bronze medalist, and an All American all five years of his collegiate career as a Rutgers coach. At Columbia, he demonstrated he can develop wrestlers as the Columbia coaching staff was named Ivy League Coaching staff of the year.

Seabass trained with the SKWC because Buxton was coaching him. During the Olympics, Buxton got international credit for making the coaching decision that enabled Rivera to win the Bronze.

Again, seabass was always gonna leave, decision was made. They were gonna give the recruiting spot to labs and seabass was gonna be a coach but never gave any indication on what he was gonna do when he got back.
